I just looked up korats - very beautiful and elegant.  Mine are rescue moggies although their adoption paperwork describes them as British short haired blacks so that sounds quite posh 😺.
I agree with winter warrior - Saturday night = curry night (although I've just had Singapore noodles 😋

@WinterWarrior our other cat who died 2 years ago was a Burmese/Korat cross AKA British shorthair AKA "The Borat". She was lovely, funny and friendly but a bit of a house wrecker. If there was mischief to be done she would find it. I'd love a Bengal but they can be a bit...ummmm.....challenging I believe 😂

My son saved up his pocket money for months and bought himself a hot tub. He was a bit sour because the Borat was the first swimmer (she fell in most things at some point). I have a fabulous facebook post memory somewhere that says I put her outside the back door for getting under my feet, yowling and tormenting her half sister (the Korat) only to have her returned via the front door 10 minutes later by a neighbour for being in her kitchen, yowling, battering her cat, eating her cat's food and getting under her feet. We miss her a lot.

What a beautiful cat 😻 My DS’s cat sleeps in the bed like that. My cat sleeps on my pillow which is fine until she starts kneading my head with her sharp claws 😣
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

NSD today, yay.  I did gardening until it started to rain with a brief stop to make lunch for the House Troll (my son) and I. I wanted to cut the grass but next door were sitting out in the garden with a visitor and I do actually like my neighbours so I didn't get the lawnmower out. I did some weeding and planted my cheap plants from yesterday.

I decided to call on my friend whose house I've been painting/cleaning for the last goodness knows how many weeks. There are various reasons why it's a good idea to call up on a fairly regular basis. She rang her brother (my best friend) so he came too and we had coffee and did some crossword puzzle from somewhere or other until I said it was time to come home and make a roast dinner for the HT. Came back, put dinner in the oven and not only had the rain stopped but next door weren't out so I cut the grass after all.

A fairly productive day, no money spent and I cooked enough pigs in blankets from the freezer to make the HT a cheese and pigs in blankets toastie for his lunch tomorrow as well as the couple that he had on his dinner tonight.

The cat is banned from sleeping in my room all you with peaceful co-sleepers. She gets under the covers then out of the covers, repeats this a few times then sits on my pillow chewing my hair which makes her gag. Sleep is not possible under those conditions (well it isn't for me) so I bought her a heated sleeping mat which she loves and which stays downstairs.

Mine are very disruptive, lots of pillow takeovers, in and out duvet hoggers, scratching toes that are outside the covers, etc. But it’s even harder trying to keep them out.
I absolutely need a cheese and pigs in blankets toastie now, if there’s ever a house troll vacancy do let me know 😋

    Good morning all,

@WinterWarrior the HT enjoyed his toastie - highly recommended apparently.

NSD yesterday so £10 shopping money carried forward to today making £20 available. I've been to the supermarket, bought bread and some lunch stuff, snacks for the HT and some eggs (cake making) and veg. £17.85 spent so I liberated my £7.23 from Prolific, added the change from shoppng, transferred 62 pence from my "cash ready to pay credit cards" account and paid £10 off my loan. I'm happy with that for todays financial progress.

I've done an online shop for delivery on Thursday which comes to £40 exactly (free delivery as I have a delivery pass). I've impressed myself with that total. That means no sneaky supermarket visits for the rest of the week....and total grocery spend for the week will be £60. I'm ok with that. The HT and my looked after person are having cheeseburger and chips tonight. I'll have something with chips - there's some scampi in the freezer so it may be that. My weight hasn't changed. I need to stop eating junk and woryying about my knee which just makes me eat more.
