Thanks @WinterWarrior - no cheeseburgers aren't my favourite thing. Just as well because there's a Maccies five minutes drive away. I hate queuing too so Maccies is out on both counts 😊 There's plenty of other stuff in the freezer. I have some chicken that I could make sweet and sour chicken with too and have a few chips with that instead. The cat approves of chicken. She doesn't approve of this weather though.

Good morning to anyone reading. An online letter from the bank tells me that my £10 extra payment has saved me £4.60 in interest so nearly a third extra on top of what I paid. Scary numbers.....it brings home the real cost of borrowing. Yesterday was a spendy day. £4.10 for black bags for friend - I drink a lot of coffee there and friend isn't allowed out due to to an upcoming procedure so I wouldn't ask for the money back. I was given 24 black bags that were deemed unacceptable that had been obtained by another family member of hers so a fair enough trade all round.
I couldn't find my blood glucose meter yesterday. Diabetes runs in the family and I had to monotor my bloods due to steroid intervention raising my blood sugars when I was pregnant so I do test occasionally (very occasionally). This time I'm a bit concerned about one of my friends who is displaying some disturbing symptoms (won't go to the doctor due to absolute rigmarole involved to even get to speak to a doctor) so after searching the house from top to bottom last night I squandered £10 online and bought another kit.
I also paid someone to come and clear the gutters as rain was running over the top and down the house. Never a good thing so £60 later it was done. I also had some quotes from him for other things in the house that I can't do myself. He is going to fix a blown window, renew the back fence and wallpaper the living room. The dates for these jobs are July and September so I have a while to add to the emergency fund yet to pay for them (emergency fund currently at £1000 as suggested here).

Good morning.
It was spendy, but productive, so that’s ok!
the interest saved from extra payments is always surprising, plus I’m always shocked at how much the monthly interest reduces on my smallest loan after each overpayment and regular payment. It really is money for nothing. My large loan was set up where the interest was paid first, so when I can make overpayments on that one I presume it will be adjusted somehow.Have a great day ☀️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I did write a post yesterday but then I pressed the "back" button on my mouse and lost it. Serves me right for having a gaming mouse and I'd lost the will by then so gave up. Yesterday was a planned spend to mark the end of the HT's "exams that are instead of GCSEs but aren't GCSEs". £20.26 spent on KFC and a small cake. This month and next are looking a bit spendy. It's my birthday this month and I've booked to go out to lunch with the HT and his partner, then it's the HT's partner's 18th birthday next month. I did use money from the HT's clothing fund to buy them concert tickets and said that would have to do as partner's present so we'll see.
It's my work day today - I'm not skiving off, my looked after person has had lunch and has just had tea and biscuits. He's watching tv for half an hour and then we'll go out. I've been making notes for a "sort out my life plan". My life isn't bad, but it's nothing like I actually want I think. If I could figure out what I want other than to pay my debts that would be great too. The healthy eating hasn't really happened either. I'm not sure what is going in but I seem to have lost all interest in cooking. I haven't lost interest in eating though so I'm just bringing home rubbish and ready meals when I shop. It's not like I don't have time to cook properly most of the time. Just not interested in cooking........
My back garden is mostly sorted but the weather is too evil to do anything to the front. My house has a lot of tomato plants in it just now. I've put the biggest ones in the spare room out of harms way and so far I've remembered to water them. I have a cucumber plant that needs repotting so that's a job for tomorrow when I'm not working. I put the sweet peas outside last week. If they survive the wind and hail then they'll survive anything!2 -
A KFC is a nice celebration and not too spendy as celebrations go!I’m the same with cooking...I just want a house chef. If I didn’t have to feed someone else I would live on snacks and apples with an odd ready meal thrown in, but somehow I seem to be the chef 😢Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

NSD today, yay. I'm still working on my "Sort out my life" journal. It has pages for meal planning, weight, travel, work that is needed on the house (nothing big, mostly just decorating and fence fixing) debts and getting rid of the negatives.
So far today I've had a lie in (going back to bed after breakfast still counts right?) repotted some of my veg plants, emptied the kitchen bin, done the clothes washing (it's in the dryer because the sky looks a bit iffy and I won't notice if it rains because I'm busy), liberated chicken from the freezer to make a roast dinner later and made lunch.
Still on the "to do" list is sort out the HT's wardrobe so we can see what clothes he needs and what he no longer wants and do some baking for the week. I'm thinking mocha squares, brownies and home made hob nobs. I'd like to think that will see us through until next Sunday.
I need to run as well. Not exercising is making my back sore and the sciatica bad because I have no core strength. Resting my knee won't fix it and it won't make it any worse so I may as well shove a painkiller in and get running. I have my knee injection on Wednesday to look forward to (gulp) so that may not be a running kind of day 😂2 -
I love a good journal, especially the project books with dividers. I’m liking the sound of that baking 😋 I feel rubbish if I don’t exercise or drink loads of water so feel your pain with that one.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

The sort out my life journal sounds great. I bought a lovely notebook (I love a notebook) which says "she believed she could, so she did" on the front. I've got a pencil case full of colouring pens and pencils too .....3
