I'm ok thanks @WinterWarrior. just been a bit busy doing new house stuff with best friend. I had to rush the HT's partner home yesterday because the family dog was poorly. Then I sat down to do an update but best friend texted me asking me to come and help to fix the toilet in his new house. I went round there, found the problem and we fixed it (it was a washer/rubber seal in the cistern that hadn't been put on properly) then we sat drinking coffee, chatting and watching the garden until it was time to come home and make dinner.

This weeks success was beating the RAC down from £23 a month for my renewal to £9.13. I'll put the debt totals up later.

    End of month totals....

    Credit card £4433.00/£6816.89
    Loan           £1280.00/£2158.54
    Other          £      0.00/£ 202.09

    Total o/s      £5713.00/£9177.32

Total paid this month £347.00. Total paid since LB £3464.32

I've also refinanced my loan. 6% interest instead of the exorbitant amount that my bank was charging. I'm going to pay minimum amounts to debt for the next couple of months as I used my emergency fund having the fences rebuilt and being without it is making me anxious.

@Willowtree222 friend wanted to buy a replacement for the inside of the cistern mechanism. I'm glad that I talked him out of it because when he took that bit out the water was still running. It took me a while to figure out that there was another part that lifted out but once I had that in my hand it was easy to see that the rubber washer/seal wasn't on properly. I have zero plumbing knowledge 😁
