Afternoon everyone. Yesterday was upstairs cleaning and today I've done downstairs. Just the ironing to do and the garden if it stays dry for a few days and then it will be time to start it all over again. I've been to the shop with best friend who is struggling with a pulled muscle and I've collected my Looked After Person who is watching tv and eating his pre home time snack.
Nothing financial to report except that I didn't buy anything when I went to the shop with best friend. He would have paid anyway but I'm trying not to buy junk food and we have enough stuff in for proper meals.3 -
Good morning all. I didn't sleep much Thursday night so I was tired and emotional yesterday. Best friend came and collected me and we went to a nearish shopping place that has some furniture shops. He'd never been there before and he's getting the keys to his new house soon so it was just to show him the shops rather than go in and buy stuff. He did buy me an Indian takeaway ready meal from M&S - he bought one each so that's our dinner tonight. Not quite being taken out for a meal but as I'm babysitting LAP until late, it's close enough.
I did a bit in the garden after friend went home and before I made dinner. I'm not sure if I cut the grass or just beat it into submission but it looks better for some attention and some weeding.
The bank processed my loan overpayment and kindly informed me that another £4.96 has been saved in interest so it's definitely worth the effort of making these small overpayments. Grocery shopping squeaked in just under budget this week. We've used some things out of the freezer - I can tell because there was room to put shopping in this week instead of squeezing it in and hoping that the drawers/door would still shut.
I need to go and get ready for work. 14 hour day today but I'll be happy when I'm paid at the end of the month.2 -
I hope you slept better last night and that your 14 hr day goes easily.
sometimes a nice ready meal is just what the doctor ordered!

I've slept much better the last couple of nights thanks. NSD today - we have plenty of food in and it's raining so nobody wants to go out. Garden jobs can all be postponed thanks to the afore mentioned rain so just C25K day two, the ironing and dinner to do before I spend the evening online gaming.
I gave up running when my knee started to hurt just as we went into the first lockdown in case I was damaging it further. Now that I've had xrays and it's hypermobile joint damage which means a knee replacement, I've decided just to strap it up and run through the pain. I've lost my core strength which means I have really bad back pain and also sciatica that makes sitting down uncomfortable. These are the reasons why I started running in the first place so I want to be back to the level of fitness where my back didn't hurt at all. I've done day one and can still manage what now passes for walking in my world so fingers crossed for the rest.
The Daily Fail have produced an article on meat shortages so I'm expecting the supermarket shelves to be stripped bare again this week. They must sit in their offices chuckling to themselves over the panic buying that they cause.....2 -
I did the C25k last year to get back into running after breaking my leg. I can recommend Motion Traxx walk/run podcasts too.I wish the media wouldn’t put ideas into gullible peoples heads 🤬I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I am so impressed with your running. I would look like a beetroot faced collapsed person within 5 minutes, so you have my complete admiration. All we need now is a turkey shortage for Christmas 😖Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
