I was at the motorway services on the date they say i was but did not leave the car as met a friend who had got me a coffee while we sat in the car having a catch up. I did not leave the car so surely this is not classed as parked?
How would you class it?  How long were you there for?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Hello there, I have received a letter from DCB Legal ltd on behalf of Secure parking solutions.
It states “Solicitors reminder letter - unpaid parking charge notice” and the letter says the following:
"We've been asked by Direct Collection Bailiffs Ltd ("DCBL") who are currently instructed by Secure Parking Solutions Ltd to write to you concerning an outstanding parking charge in the sum of £170.00.

We've been informed by DCBL that despite them writing to you on a number of occasions, as either the Registered Keeper of the vehicle, c the party responsible for the PCN; the parking charge remains outstanding. It's important that you understand and are aware that Secur Parking Solutions Ltd could commence legal proceedings against you in the County Court, to recover the outstanding sum.

DCB Legal may be instructed by Secure Parking Solutions Ltd to send a formal letter of claim to you in accordance with the Practice Directio on Pre-Action Conduct. A copy of the Practice Direction can be found at: www.justice.gov.uk/courts/procedure-rules/civil/rules/pd pre-action conduct

Should you not make payment, Secure Parking Solutions Ltd could then issue a claim against you without further notice. There are additiona fixed costs involved in that process and the Court rules permit a successful litigant to seek them from the other party. Secure Parking Solution Ltd has 6 years from the date the parking charge notice became due to commence proceedings. Any such proceedings would likely be served at this last known address. If you have moved address or move in the future, it is in your interest to update Secure Parking Solutions Ltd DCBL.

In the event that Secure Parking Solutions Ltd commences proceedings against you and obtains a judgment, either in default (because you have failed to file and serve a defence), or following a hearing, and the judgment, in addition to any order for costs, is not paid, Secure Parkin Solutions Ltd can take steps to enforce the judgment.

Payment of the full amount owed £170.00 will prevent further action.

We are instructed that you should make payment to DCBL within 14 days, see overleaf for ways to pay.

If the debt remains outstanding and Secure Parking Solutions Ltd commences the options detailed above, the amount sought may increas as legal fees may be payable if proceedings are issued.

If you do not understand the content of this letter; you should seek independent legal advice. Your response should be to DCBL. Respons sent to DCB Legal Ltd will not be answered.”

Can anyone advise on what to do. So far I have always ignored all the letters received, shall I continue to ignore.
    Thank you

Ignore it and obviously await the LBC which is covered in the NEWBIES thread.  LBC is when you respond.

PROVIDING they don't hold two possible addresses for you.  Never leave a parking firm or their useless aggressive DRAs with two possible addresses.  Never assume they'll use the newer one for the claim.

I feel like I’ve read every comment on here and I can’t find a case quite similar to mine so hopefully someone can give me some advice here, I have also just received the typical DCBL ltd letter asking for payment in the next 14 days… this has come through a parking ticket I appealed 4.5 years ago because I put my ticket in my window and displayed perfectly but the parking warden photographed my passenger door and said I didn’t have a ticket… ( I kept the ticket for this special day haha) any advice. I’ve already followed the procedure of emailing the land owner first but no luck so far.
This was my first letter nearly 5 years ago… not sure why my appeal was never sorted?

This is amazing, you kept your parking ticket, do you keep all of them (who said hoarding was crazy).

I'm pretty sure that the picture is enough to get this cancelled as I'm pretty sure they need to show the front window (you know, the one where most people display their tickets) :)

What was the result of your appeal 4.5 years ago? Did it go to appeal with the PPC or to POPLA? etc...

If this was Summer 2020 that's less than 4 years ago but nice evidence!

Wait for the LBC from DCB LEGAL (not DCB Ltd) then hit them with it and tell them to get lost.

Ok so I appealed using secure parkings link, it has stated ‘ you have already appealed’ everytime I’ve gone to check the status. I never heard anything back and stupidly assumed it was sorted. That was a mistake on my side. And I have to keep all my tickets to claim the money back thank god haha

I have now received the “Letter of Claim” from DCB legal. Do I send the Newbies reply in the Reply form stated in the letter?

Tbh I’m getting tired of this. Just want this to stop.

Can anyone please advise what I should do next?
