  • Can someone please answer this so I can get this sorted out?

My V5C has been returned by the DVLA with my married name spelt incorrectly. So it's going to have to be returned to them.

What other proof of ID can I use for a SAR?

My OH takes care of the bills and mortgage (I send him the money for it) so other than my bank account - which is an online account through Starling - I don't have a lot of proof of address (driving licence is also with the DVLA).

    I hadn't read those D_P, I'll have a look now. Thank you

Bank account then, redacting stuff like your balance and account number, that they don't need to see.

Sent the SAR and email to DCBLegal this evening. (I asked DCBLegal to update their records re: my marriage too, I hope that was correct - seems obvious to do that but it only mentioned addresses in the newbie thread).

  • UKPC still hasn’t confirmed that they have updated my address and told the “debt collectors”. Their only response is that because the charge was from 2017 that I need to contact the debt collectors. In this case should I contact DCBL (assuming they are still the appointed body) or should I continue to push UKPC to handle this.

Hopefully I haven’t received some form of summons to my old address in the mean time.

Yes, send any new name or address to the DPO at DRP.

  • I've received the SAR back.

Looks like my permit was not clearly displayed in my car, does that mean I have no way of this being cancelled? And for added fun, the car is parked right next to a sign saying permits must be displayed (!!!!!!)

Unlikely to be cancelled but most cases see no court claim.  Get the old address erased, that's the important thing.
