DCBL letters ..... forum group thread

I'm not sure what my next move is. I haven't had confirmation from DCBL that they've taken the 30 day extension, just one email asking me to confirm my name and address (which was in the initial email I was sent). What do I send now? Do I just sit and wait for a court date?£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0

I will email again tonight asking for confirmation that they have suspended (? not sure if that's the right language) the case for 30 days as per my previous email.patient_dream said:

Am I reasonable to mention that I would consider the 30 days to start from the date of their confirmation?
I'm emailing the MP of the constituency tonight, I don't think it'll get me anywhere but it feels good!£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January1 -
I think you should just assume that they are going to delay things by thirty days. They have no obligation to confirm that to you. They do however have an obligation to abide by the Pre-Action Protocol for Debt Claims which states that, if asked, they must give the Defendant thirty days to seek debt advice.
Get on with researching for your Defence. You have an extra thirty days for that.1 -
Whilst they have no obligation to reply, a professional legal would do.kiss_me_now9 said:

Depends if DCBL think they are professional or not ???
You need confirmation of the extra 30 days otherwise if ignored, you could receive a court claim

Could receive a Court Claim anyway - beit tomorrow or a month away - just before Christmas.patient_dream said:

Can I just double check this paragraph before I send it to the management company of the apartment complex I was parked in? I don't want to implicate anything (I rented the flat and parked without a permit in a visitors space as I thought it wasn't necessary, as someone was parked in my space, for context).
"I would like you to contact UPKC to discuss the matter of this extortionate charge and their accomplices additional illegal fees on top."
Or should I just leave that out?
Sorry patient, could you clarify your final statement? I need to gain confirmation of DCBL agreeing to the 30 days extension or I may receive a court claim - how do I get them to do this if they won't respond to my emails?patient_dream said:

You need proof that they have received your request for a 30 day extension. Otherwise they may say they never received it and start a court claim earler than they are entitled tokiss_me_now9 said:Can I just double check this paragraph before I send it to the management company of the apartment complex I was parked in? Mind you, that would be to the displeasure of a judge. If they do not comply, and you receive a premature court claim that would be case of having the claim struck out
Send them another email requesting confirmation0 -
I don't think that's likely to work. No harm in asking though.patient_dream said:kiss_me_now9 said:Can I just double check this paragraph before I send it to the management company of the apartment complex I was parked in? And that will be up to DCBL if they ignore the law, they already are treading on cracked iceKeithP said:
