No other details apart from Excel Parking.
I've had no other correspondence, no court letters, nothing.Thaduck1 said:Hi guys, firstly I apologise if this is the millionth time you are having to answer this, I'm just looking for some real quick advice.I have received a 'Notice of Debt Recovery' letter from DCBL Limited for a parking ticket some years ago.Now i would normally be happy to ignore, however this is something i have had a CCJ for. It asks for immediate payment but states at the bottom it does state 'failure to address within 14 days of the date of this letter will result in your case being reviewed for legal recovery'.
My question is, am I ok to ignore this even though I have a CCJ for it?
Will the bailiffs visit my house from the CCJ? The fine was from Excel Parking.
If you are both 100% certain that you actually have CCJs for these cases then it's a bit different in terms of advice and you should read the section in the 2nd post of the NEWBIES thread about how to set aside a CCJ (don't pay the CCJ).
But are you both sure this letter is about the same PCN and that your credit ratings are both showing a CCJ?
Check that first and then read the section about setting aside a CCJ. You can ask the court to put enforcement on hold and stay any writ of control, which will stop any bailiff worries.
Sounds like either or both of you had some letters go to an old address, probably due to you not updating your address on your V5C (changing the driving licence doesn't currently change the car's registered address with the DVLA even though I believe GDPR says it should...and I've told the DVLA this).
Other email addresses for DCBLegal (not Recovery) are laura@dcblegal.co.uk and paul@dcblegal.co.uk
Both of you MUST make it clear when applying to set aside the CCJ and/or when first emailing DCBLegal, to see if the Claimant will consent to set aside (without you paying off the stupid sum of money) what your current address for service is, to stop any more replies going to that old address.
And you should both also then email the parking firm's DPO (NOT DCBLEGAL) to ask for a SAR so you can see all their evidence and letters, but don't wait for that to come back before applying for the set aside because that requires 'prompt' action in most cases (a couple of weeks...certainly applying to the court with an N244 form, during the first 3 of weeks of July, not later).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I seemed to have received something like this through the post. I saw the image below (Final Notice of Debt Recovery from DCBL where the 'L' stands for Limited) on one of the previous pages.

Now, the issuer of the fine was originally F1rst Parking and is from 2018. Does anyone have the email address for notice of SAR to DCBL?

You don't submit a SAR to the solicitor or debt collector, only to the PPC, in this case F1rst Parking using the only address I could find sales@firstparking.co.uk as they don't seem to have a data protection officer.3

Hi, thought I'd post in this thread in case starting my own is unnecessary
- I received a letter from DCBL LTD last night, claiming I have a CCJ against my name for money owed to "Excel Parking Services Limited". There's no details on said letter about where the charge was issued, not even a City or a date. To be clear, this the first letter I've ever received at this address regarding this matter and I never received any others whilst living in Milton Keynes.
I believe it's relating to a previous thread I posted in 2017 - link I went through the appeal process for this and Excel just stopped contacting me one day.
The letter is from DCBL LTD with 14 days to reply, having read the newbies threads it would appear this one is a pure debt collection letter and should be ignored. Anything from DCBL Legal with 30 days notice to reply shouldn't be though. The letter also states "This case is not subject to High Court or Bailiff action", which again means it's just a debt collectors letter at this point. Letter shown below in spoilers due to size, with address etc removed:
Letter side 1:
Letter side 2:
Due to them stating I had a CCJ, I decided to check my Experian credit report last night and it's showing no CCJ's against my name. See image below (in spoiler due to sizing issue it would appear!):
I then decided to also pay a small fee to check everything on "TrustOnline", as it was recommended on gov.uk. They sent me two reports back. The first one was a general check on my name and states all clear, no CCJ's against my name. They then sent me a 2nd one, which was for the specific case number on the DCBL letter. This one stated I have an "unsatisfied record" against my name. It came back with an address I haven't lived at for around 4-5 years in Sheffield (I've lived in Milton Keynes since). Unfortunately it didn't give any more case details e.g. when the ticket was issued etc.
These can be found in the spoiler below, with address etc removed:
General check:
Specific case number report:I haven't contacted DCBL in any form. I'm slightly confused, as whilst it appears my record is clear of CCJ's, their letter states I have one (potentially a fraudulent scare tactic I presume) and I do have something showing on one of these searches, although it's not clear what that actually means. Anyone experienced similar? Is there a way to look up details on this alleged parking charge without contacting DCBL?
If I'd be better off starting my own thread then please let me know and I'll do so. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Hopefully the spoilers are working for everyone, I can't open them for some reason. If it's an issue let me know and I'll remove them. Cheers!0 -
It is very likely that this is connected to the 2017 incident. imo.
Have you complained to your MP and allso to the company broadcasting the TV programme. which shows their employees, including one with a criminal record, in such a good light? You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1
