Then read again what I wrote about escalating the complaint upwards.
Unfortunately my letters and emails to the governors, chairman and chief executive of the hospital went ignored, I don't know how much further upwards I can go when these people clearly see this issue as beneath them since none of them have the courtesy to reply.

I did make a PALS complaint years ago which ended with them telling me my only option would be to get in contact with the parking company. The housing association that owns the carpark are absolutely unwilling to help and have again, just referred me to UKPC, but at this stage the charge has been "passed to debt collectors" so I'm unable to appeal.

One thing the housing association did say was that if I had appealed quickly enough, the charge would have been reduced to £15 which is what is offered to other people who had valid permits. I was essentially blamed for missing this opportunity for not being quick enough however I appealed that same day with a picture of my permit but was never given this option.

Sorry, I didn't realise you had already done that.

Hey, why not try a real rattling of their cage with a complaint to the keen and fresh new Secretary of State for the NHS, Sajid Javid. Quote the NHS Parking Guidance Principles, how rudely you've been treated by his senior management team at xxx Hospital Trust by them all ignoring your communication, and as a tax payer and stakeholder in the NHS, you would expect him to agree just how badly you've been treated. Ask if he will intervene and bring all this nonsense to the end his subordinates seem hopelessly incompetent to do.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Just got a letter from dcbl, quoting a CCJ number and a £257.
No other details apart from Excel Parking.
I've had no other correspondence, no court letters, nothing.
  • Hi guys, firstly I apologise if this is the millionth time you are having to answer this, I'm just looking for some real quick advice.

I have received a 'Notice of Debt Recovery' letter from DCBL Limited for a parking ticket some years ago.
Now i would normally be happy to ignore, however this is something i have had a CCJ for. It asks for immediate payment but states at the bottom it does state 'failure to address within 14 days of the date of this letter will result in your case being reviewed for legal recovery'.

My question is, am I ok to ignore this even though I have a CCJ for it? Will the bailiffs visit my house from the CCJ? The fine was from Excel Parking.

    Thanks in advance guys.

Hi, not sure if this is the right place to post this but have taken a look through this post and the newbies thread.  I too have received a County Court letter in which I acknowledged and submitted my defence (1st June 2021).  It was from Highview and DCB Legal from a pcn back in 2016.  I have since received a letter through the post from DCB Legal (21/06/21) asking me who was legally entitled to drive, how many people frequently drove the vehicle at the time and to confirm the name/address of the driver at the time.  I have not responded to this letter but have had another email from them today stating:

    Good morning

Having reviewed the content of your defence, we write to inform you that our client intends to proceed with the claim.

In due course, the Court will direct both parties to each file a directions questionnaire. In preparation for that, please find attached a copy of the Claimant's, which we confirm has been filed with the Court.

Without Prejudice to the above, in order to assist the Court in achieving its overriding objective, our client may be prepared to settle this case - in the event you wish to discuss settlement, please call us on 0203 434 0433 within 7 days and make immediate reference to this correspondence.

I wasn't going to respond to this, but it appears as though they are proceeding, what are my next steps please?  If I need to post elsewhere please excuse my ignorance! Or if I need to put more info up here please let me know. Thanks for any advice you can offer

Would anyone happen to have an email address for DCBL. They don’t provide one in their letters or website.

Would like to ask them to put my case on hold while I seek debt management advice. Would rather email instead of call so I can keep a paper trail. Cheers!

Standard rubbish from them trying to get you to tell them driver's name. Do not respond especially by phone!
