Best tell your friends if they ever get junk mail from DCBL2 -
But they need to be aware of the difference between DCB Limited and DCB Legal. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Hi there. Firstly, thank you for all the information here and on the Newbies sticky thread - it's evident a huge amount of work goes into this!
I've received a letter from DCBL (ltd) with the 14 day payment request. It relates to a ticket from 2015 and on a car I no longer own. The ticket was issued for being 'parked in a roadway'. I know I have received chasers in the past for this closer to 2015 but as I've moved home a bit this is the latest one to the new address. I can't honestly remember if I appealed this ticket at the time or if I ignored it (I'm aware the guidance on here since 2013 was not to ignore but I'm still not sure if I did or not).
Having read through the previous posts, it sounds as though I can ignore this DCBL (ltd) letter. There is mention of requesting the SAR to UKPC - is this a good next step?
If I ignore this letter / request the SAR, what is likely to happen next? I've read the parts on the sticky about court cases, witness statements and talking to a judge and to honest, that fills me with a lot of anxiety so am just a little worried if I ignore this, is that the next step that UKPC/DCBL will take?
Many thanks.

Precise 2015 date please?
Send a SAR whenever you wish. Other than receiving a response to your SAR, what happens next is down to the PPC and DCBL. Possibly a court claim, if they have time - that's why the precise date helps.Any court case is just a short arbitration event, do you owe the PPC money, or don't you, a Judge will decide. No wigs, gowns or jury, there won't be any haranguing cross examination, the Judge might ask you a few questions, there'll be no prison sentence at the end, nor will there be paparazzi waiting for you to appear on the court steps as you exit. Your moment of fame, denied! 😄Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Hi, thanks for the reply.Date of the ticket being issued was 3rd August 2015.No paparazzi?! Well, that’s no fun then. All jokes aside, the court thing did feel me with dread but if it’s a simple couple of questions maybe I could deal with that. There was also a few people mentioning the failure to pay going on your credit report. Is my understanding correct that it would only go on the credit report if I went to court, was told to pay and then I didn’t? In otherwords, even if the court tell me to pay, as long as I do pay it within the timescales then all is good?Thank you0

Yes you get no CCJ left on your credit record if you are among the 1% here who report a rare loss. You just pay it in full before 30 days is up; no risk.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi guys - still having issues finding the Newbie Stickie - apologies for posting on here if its the wrong place
I have just received Notice of debt recovery from DCBL - the "incident" happened 3 years ago
I kept all previous correspondence - the PCN was issued by AUTOSEC Feb 2018 - all my correspondence was by recorded
so briefly.......
March 2018 - I sent formal challenge to address on PCN - no reply - letter was signed for at address given on PCN - template was from this site
April 2018 - received from TNC services demanding payment - they advised they had obtained my details using a "reasonable cause request" - I responded to them with a letter of of complaint advising them the process should have been on hold as I had lodged formal challenge - I also complained that they had no right to request info from the DVLA as I had challenged the ticket - letter was signed for - awaited response
MAY 2018 - further letter from TNC escalating claim citing all "correspondence has been ignored" - untrue as they had signed for my response to their first letter
7th JUNE 2018 - received Notice of intention to advise client to issue summons
JUNE 2018 - I lodged a complaint with "The Complaints Manager" at TNC - obviously they must get a lot - he hadn't followed his own complaints procedure
JUNE 2018 - I requested info from the DVLA on the release of my data to a 3rd party - a member of their Central Casework Group advised the request was made by TNC on 24th April and that TNC had stated I had failed to appeal within a 14 day period yet the appeals process on the PCN quite clearly states i have 28 days - albeit I replied within the 14 days anyway
That was the last correspondence until this month
Any advice on where I stand please
