DCBL letters ..... forum group thread

I'm new here so if I've overlooked something or not understood correctly please don't bite my head off, I'm just trying to get clarity and its not easy to come by regarding these matters. I have received three letters from DCBL (limited) regarding two different unpaid parking charges. The first one says Notice of Debt Recovery - Unpaid Parking Charges of £145, second one says Final Reminder - Unpaid Parking Charge of £145 (Aug 2017) and the third one Notice of Debt Recovery - Unpaid Parking Charge of £160 (Jan 2018). One is for parking in a blue badge bay with a valid blue badge and the other is for parking in a permit bay where I lived despite having a permit displayed and permission to park there.
My issue is two fold:
1. What am I suppose to actually do? Ignore I would like to but the last time I did that with another company (ParkingEye) I did receive a county court claim and I had to pay to avoid having the judgement planted for the next 6 years on my credit file. And believe me it really does go against you if you apply for any credit of any kind anywhere.
2. How do I get these letters to stop? They were sent to me under my married name which I have not used for many years and for a vehicle I no longer own.
I am physically disabled and I have recently had major surgery making my mobility limited. I am very stressed by these letters and I would be really distressed if bailliffs were to come and hold me and my family hostage in our home demanding payment of large amounts of money which I do not have. I cannot afford legal representation and I really cannot have this continue.
Please advice on what I can do?
DCBL total misunderstand the Supreme court case they mention. If they did understand, they would not use fakery
UKPC are desperate right now due to covid and, they are currently using the likes of DCBL as some sort of freebie service to scare people but when it comes to court UKPC uses a different legal, It really is a game of snakes and ladders with these wild people.
So, don't contact DCBL and wait to hear further. If you get a letter before claim giving you 30 days to respond then come back here.
What you can do right now now is send a SAR to UKPC requesting the info they have on you.
It's only fair you know, DCBL chasing an old ticket and sending a time wasting letter to you, you must return that favour with UKPC
Don't be concerned about the rubbish they advertise .... the soap on TV .. "Can't pay"
It's all just junk to scare you
THE CLUE: DCB LIMITED .... A DEBT COLLECTOR TO IGNORE
Would DCBL win ???? very doubtful, they add fakery and the courts don't like fakers1 -
My issue is two fold:You shouldn't have paid the ParkingEye one, you simply needed to defend it, and win. Too late now but getting a claim does not = CCJ, if you had defended.

Hi Guys,I'm new here and wanted to get your opinion on my situation.I received a private parking ticket in my second year of University (2017/18 ish - sorry I can't be more specific, the letters are at my Mum/Dad's house) for parking by campus halls in an area where I needed a permit.I am certain the University owns the land where the parking area is, however the area is managed by UKPC, and I did receive letters from them initially regarding the outstanding charge. I never responded or acknowledged the letters, as I read posts online saying that was the best approach at the time (consequently it seems like the best approach in hindsight would've been to appeal straight away...albeit its too late for that now!).Following the course of the following 3 years I have received multiple notice of debt recovery letters from a range of different agencies (Zenith, Debt colletor plus, DCBL etc.) and never responded to any of them. I assume that they must sell off the debts to each other in a cycle. Most recently I have received the DCBLtd letter, which is as stated on the forum, should be ignored. My main question to ask is that would the right steps from here be to request a SAR from UKPC? And, would anyone recommend me complaining directly to the university where I attended that I am being harassed for a claim that I have no recollection of?Keen to see what you think the best approach is - the previous letter to this one was well over a year ago so I had assumed they had given up!Thanks in advance for any help, and apologies if this is rehashing anything that has already been answered. I would just like peace of mind as I'm a young professional and ideally don't want to pay £160 or get a CCJ.0

UKPC are bent, read this

also read the newbies , and complain to the landowner and your MPYou never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
You were right to ignore the debt collector junk .... pointless idiots
As you can read on here, UKPC are using these legals to chase up old tickets. WHY?, because covid is killing off these parking companies.
There are two DCBL letters ..... one from DCB LIMITED and the other from DCB LEGAL
If it's just the LIMITED version giving you 14 days to pay, that is just another debt crawler trash.
If it's the LEGAL version and says LETTER BEFORE CLAIM, giving you 30 days, you will need to respond ..... what have you received ?
And YES you send a SAR to UKPC to obtain the info. It's only fair, they instructed DCBL and you can return the favour and cost UKPC time and money1 -

Thank you very much to everyone who has responding to my initial query. I'm very grateful for such an informative and supportive response.
I would like to ask, what information do I request in the SAR (Subject Access Request) from UKPC? and what purpose will it serve? I ask as I am unsure on the next steps of this process.
Thank you all very much.0 -

I just got one of these trying to charge me £160 for an overstay in 2017! From DCBL. States that the driver is responsible for payment.
It has my name on it. E.g. it says "Dear XXX" where XXX is my name....
This is for hermiston gait retail park in Scotland.
I can't afford any sort of court action as would be a stain and jeopardise my job. Can I keep ignoring this? Apparently this is final reminder before court.0
