Appeal to the landowners. I have just appealed to the landowners for a PCN for Braehead
@Cheesyavacado87 did you use a template letter for your appeal? If so can you point me in the right direction please
I called Braehead and asked to speak to a manager to put in a complaint, I got a managers email address and messaged him directly. I also used the customer feedback online service to write a complaint, although don’t rely solely on the online service as there is no paper trail as such. Make sure whatever you do to get it in writing. The management team said they will endeavour to have “ask” UKPC to cancel the ticket. Although I am sceptical regarding the “ask”, rather than a instruct/tell them to cancel it. Can only hope and see 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have also contacted my Local MP as my PCN infringes the Equality Act 2010, due to receiving a PCN for being in a disabled bay when the passenger had a valid blue badge.

I think this proves that DCBL are working from a list and have no idea what is going on.
Those in Scotland MUST report such incompetence to their MP
I'm sure Mrs Sturgeon would not like to hear what is going on and worth sending her a copy of this misleading and harassing letter.  She takes action quickly.  She should take speedy action with the Scottish Judiciary

How many Scottish people are getting these letters ?
When I contacted the land owners management team, the office worker who initially took the call said the phone has been going non stop regarding PCN’s. So I’m guessing UKPC have been putting out a trawl for old charges as they will be struggling during lockdown..

You need to make sure your employer doesnt see this, so writing to DCBL naming yourself as the driver, stating you live in Scotland where Scottish law makes it very clear that the debt has expired
They must now erase your data, and inform their client that any furthe rletters, to you or your employer, are harassment and you reserve the right to sue
  • Hi all! So glad I found this forum! I got a PCN in Feb 2016, and at the time was advised on another online forum to ignore it. Got a string of typical debt collector letters back then in 2016 from different companies, and then nothing. Now this Monday I also got a DCBLimited letter about that PCN in Feb 2016.   Here's the thing, I am in Northern Ireland. I read above that Scotland/Northern Ireland its a little different? Does for example the 5 year deadline also apply to Northern Ireland? in the 12th Feb (next Friday) it would be 5 years since I got the PCN?

    As Keith said above

So, if it is a 14 day letter which is debt crawler rubbish you ignore
If you get a 30 day letter (LBA) come back here.

Only two things to do right now
1: Send a SAR to the parking company to obtain the info they have on you, make them work
2: No doubt it is the same misleading intimidating letter as you see here, Send a copy to your MP TO INVESTIGATE and send a copy to Arlene Foster so she is aware of this mail bomb.
She does not put up with such rubbish.  Sending a copy to your local media can be helpful to warn the good folk of N. Ireland

Is no one of late capable of undertaking the merest amount of simple research?  Has Arlene limited Google functionality China-stylee? Or maybe it's the Irish Sea Brexit border having an unexpected consequence?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Hi Umkomaas (My wife lived in Umkomaas for a few years lol. Worked at one of the local dive centres).  Yes I did do a Google search but it did not mention PCN's specifically. I had an idea that it may be 6yrs but just wanted to be sure, so asked here where ppl have experience? :)

Thank you guys for replying! Much appreciated. Yes @beamerguy I will have to get that SAR now I reckon. They must be desperate for cash if they sending me letters now 5 years later!

Have a great weekend and thank you again for your time :)

You submit a SAR rather than get one, it is a Subject Access Request.
