I have had both doses of the Astra Zeneca.  The first one I did feel sleepy with and a bit shivery. On having the next dose, I was advised to take paracetamol , I hardly had any side effects

Just got a text from the GP to book the second jab (first was GP invite, I'm 44).
Relieves my concern that the "GP invite for second" might get missed

Is anyone on here worried about side effects?
Ive had one does of Astra Z and have cancelled second dose twice because I am a bit dubious!
I was quite poorly with 1st dose, just wondered if anyone else feels the same??
I had sweats and chills as well as shivering overnight following the first dose, was completely OK the 2nd morning after. I'm more than happy to be carrying antibodies and will definitely be having the 2nd dose - anecdotally it's been less harsh on the system.
Typhoid vaccinations which are necessary for some travel destinations have similar side effects.
I said that the side effects that I had after my covid vaccine were  like what I had when I had a typhoid vaccination.

I had no side effects after the second covid vaccination.

My DIL was ill in bed for 6 days after her first one but had no side effects after the second.
  • I haven't had any doses yet.

My brother and my partner both received letters in the same week about a month ago now(they are both 34), my brothers partner received a letter week before last(she's 27), I am 30 so should have had a letter between my brother, partner and my brothers partner receiving theirs. I know some of my friends who are the same age as me have received letters and booked their vaccines.

Not entirely sure what to do to chase it up tbh. I'm thinking my gp surgery haven't got correct contact details for me on the NHS system...

Don't panic. It's going to take a while to get round to contacting everyone.

I'm not registered on patient access. Do I need to be? I almost never go to the Dr's, so haven't felt a need for patient access' services thus far.

Hopefully my invite is just delayed somewhat then.

You don't need to be, but always handy for contact via email or mobile on my opinion.
