some areas are continuing to give the second dose as planned at 3 weeks to NHS staff who are clinically vulnerable or work in high risk areas/carry out high risk procedures.0 -

My parents received their NHS letters this morning offering them the vaccine and instructing them to book both the initial jab and the booster simultaneously. Their first appointment is on Sunday and the booster appointment is on Easter Monday - so a 12 week gap.0

Is anyone else concerned that the government doesn't have a plan at all - at our expense ?I mean - who can say whether the present vaccine will even have any effect on new strains of Covid at all - will all of the people who have already had a jab (or 2) need another vaccine to cover the new strain - in perhaps 6 months time ??Yet the government is purely interested in stats - ie Numbers innoculatedHow will we ever reach the heady heights of 37 milion innoculations ?0

Innoculations are a measurable stat. Will take some months for the benefits to be apparent.2 -

Under current rules they would go to people who haven’t had their first vaccine rather than as a second vaccine to someone. There are plenty of people who haven’t had their first vaccine, so it’s not difficult to find someone.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. In an interview on the BBC today, Nadhim Zahawi MP confirmed that there is an instruction in the NHS that no vaccine is to be wasted.0
