@999cookies That’s great!! Hopefully the offer comes through quickly. Definitely gives us all some hope 🤞🏻

Day 16 (do we include day of submission?!) here and nothing yet but I’m convinced they are going to ask us for loads more documents!
  • Working day 16 here also - both employed so hoped it would be quicker but no update on the tracker since 30/09!

They told me they only put us in the queue on the 20th even though our documents appeared in the tracker on the 16th, but that was a Friday afternoon and then we also had the bank holiday on the 19th - so there might be a slight delay because of that!
  • @999cookies When did they do the valuation? We submitted on the 20th but they requested more info on the 23rd so I’m thinking I might only be on working day 11 and not 14. God who knows!

We didn't have a valuation done as we're in Scotland and the value is taken from the home report
  • Hi,

This thread is so useful. Thought I would share my progress.

28th September - Application Submitted Directly

4th October - Received Tracker Information and Hard Credit Search

4th October - Uploaded all documents and ID etc.

5th October - All Documents Pending Review

    6th October - Valuation Instructed

7th October - ID Checks and Direct Debit Mandate ticked

10th October - Valuation Completed, but receipt not confirmed yet.

Everything has moved pretty rapid. However my application should be a breeze really. Light adverse credit, however quite historic. Affordability is comfortable and well below the maximum I could borrow. I have a set salary and in a long term employment. Single applicant. 10% deposit.

Only thing that concerned me was the light adverse credit. However this was checked before the valuation was instructed and during AIP so I expect this must be fine. Should be a breeze now if that has already passed.

How long did everybody wait to find out the results of the valuation?

  • @andyb2210 It might be different if you have gone direct but we had our valuation done on the 23rd September, 3 days after full application. We’re still currently waiting for the underwriting to be done, currently time frame is 15 working days at the moment. Can I ask what your light adverse was? I have a couple of late payments on a mobile phone contact and I’m panicking so much about it even with very good credit history.
  • I applied direct on 22nd Sept - my valuation was instructed on 04/10 and my offer approved subject to valuation which I am still waiting word on.

I know the surveyor phoned the estate agent on last Thurs 06/10 to arrange but currently still nervously waiting for the tracker to update.

I am expected to be downvalued as I offered 1.5% over asking to secure the sale.

That's not much considering I offered 7% over asking on the house before and didn't get accepted!
  • Hi,

I have a default from 5 years ago. It’s only for £60 and was satisfied the following month. It’s only from BT for internet/tv service. I refused to pay them as it kept going off never dreaming it would go on my credit file 🤣

Most mortgage companies are happy to turn a blind eye to communication debts so you should be okay. How long ago was it?

How long did you wait to find out the results of the valuation or you still waiting?
