  • Hi everyone.

New to the forum. We recently completed on our sale, temporarily back with parents whilst hopefully buying our second home which is a new build (fingers crossed).

    1) Self employed
    2) Employed

LTV technically 69% but product applied for 75% LTV.

    Our timeline so far;

Mon 17/10/22 - Mortgage submitted via broker

Friday 28/10/22 - NatWest application live, requested one further doc doc submitted same day as held on file by broker

    Thurs 3/11/22 Valuation booked

    Fri 4/11/22 Valuation.

The wait is killing me. We are also under pressure as we had an exchange deadline with the developer of 6 weeks which isn’t looking very achievable based on Natwest timescales. Eeek

All actions now ticked on the tracker as of today

  • Im finally there - got remortagge offer in Sept and had to wait because of ERC! Tracker finally updated just now to 'Funds ready for release' with my completion on 12th december! phew!!! roll on the 12th!
Looking to remortgage December 2022 onto a better rate!
  • Hi all, just wondering if anybody could help clarify something for me. I'm going out of my mind!!

We have submitted all documents, had a valuation come back successfully and then were told the offer documents were being ordered and would be sent to us when received, this was 7 working days ago. We noticed that 4 days ago another hard credit check appeared on clearscore. I had assumed with the wording "offer documents ordered" all that kind of stuff would have been done?

Anybody got any thoughts on this?
  • Hi All,

Looking for some guidance. We have a current residential mortgage with Natwest but are looking to move home. Will Natwest allow us to place our current home on rent with consent to let and then allow us to take out a new residential mortgage? As part of the application does our broker need to request this consent to let also for the existing mortgage?

Note the reason we are looking at NatWest again for our onward purchase is they are coming out best on affordability after speaking with several brokers.

    02/09 - Application submitted
10/09 - Offer issued subject to valuation
    10/09 - Valuation instructed
    13/09 - Valuation results received
    15/09 - Offer received

Then things went tits up, we lost our house and our buyer so we were back to square one!

28/10 - Amendments and payslips sent for original mortgage offer for new house
02/11 - Correction to purchase price made

Online tracker showing theres an issue today, rang broker who stated they'd put the wrong purchase price in - which meant our LTV would have been 97%... lost for words lol. Correction to the purchase price is in and hopefully things continue a bit smoother now!!

08/11 - Natwest happy to offer at 85% not 90%, begged family & sent in gifted deposit form
15/11 - Offer issued subject to valuation
    15/11 - Valuation paid

This honestly feels like it's dragging this time round!!
    Update...

    22/11 - Valuation completed

YAY Finally! Natwest have confirmed they received the report back, so hopefully we get news this week, it happened pretty quickly last time fingers crossed it does again now.

Can't wait for the mortgage stress to be over, and onto the conveyancing stress!
So after the complete FARCE that is our house buying process lol we have found house 3!

Hey, when you handed in the change of property form, did they ask for your bank statements again?
