So we applied on the 14/10 and we're now at the review stage with valuation completed on the 1st Nov. With intermediary site showing 15 days for processing, does mean a further 15 days for the underwriting, or as we're at 15 working days today, should it be any day now? :S
Also if you are employed it will move quick … self employed is very slow.
Applied on 11 pretty much same as your timeline except not ⚠️and still waiting
The whole thing is too frustrating0 -

We were told on 24th October that we would receive our offer within 5 days. Nothing has been received as yet. Managed to get to speak to an agent via the "chat" yesterday (took me 30 mins to get to the front of the queue) and was told that it was at "prepare offer" stage and that he would "chase it up". However, I wasn't convinced by this, and have managed to get straight though to an agent on chat this afternoon, and she has told me a completely different story! She is saying that KYC checks have been "pending" their end, and then went on to say that there has been a "discrepancy" with the date of birth of my husband (they have used my year of birth instead of his!!) so this is obviously a data input/keying error on their part, but I now have to wait ANOTHER 2-3 working days for this to be resolved!! It is now supposedly with the "dedicated team" whatever that means. I really am losing the will to live, the timescales are just ridiculous.0 -
Hi folks,
Just want to give some hope to people who sufferred the same situation as us dealing with NatWest!
We are buying a property in Scotland. We fully submitted our mortgage application in the afternoon of 16/09/2022, it took roughly three weeks for NatWest to underwirte our documents, and then further documents requested, we submitted immediately, another week for assessing, then ask for Home report to be renewed (in Scotland, the home report is reqired for the seller withen 3 months), then it took a few days for the seller to renew and submitted, it took another 1.5 week to review the home report (rediculousely slow!), then it took 2 more days to produce the offer document. Then today 03/112022, we finally received our offer.
The broker helped many times to chase it up, but I believe the NatWest is just essentially slow!
Good luck!0 -

We just got our offer!
2x applicants, both FTBs with 2x LISAs, 90% LTV with a property that is definitely a project.
14/10 Applied via mortgage broker
14/10 Hard search on accounts
27/10 Mortgage fee taken
27/10 Advised via broker valuation scheduled for 1/11 and requested additional docs - submitted same day by broker
02/10 Valuation confirmed as taking place, and noted as received
03/10 Queried place of work on my payslip, and distance to it (both me and hubs have WFH arrangements)
04/10 Everything ticked at 9am, at 1pm valuation confirmed as suitable(!) and offer sent over 10 mins later
16 working days in total.

Hi all, I have posted several times on this thread and on others, so apologies if you've read my story before.
The whole application process with NatWest (via a broker) has been, and continues to be a nightmare.
My timeline so far:-
27th September - Application submitted (via a Broker)
27th September - Hard search carried out (Notification from ClearScore on 29/9)
30th September - Valuation completed (physical, and all OK)
10th October - All actions ticked
10th October - Request for further info, sent to them immediately
10th October - Soft Search carried out by RBSG
11th October - Conveyancers instructed (we are mortgaging the home we own outright)
20th October - Last action ticked
24th October - Broker chased NatWest, who said offer would be sent "within 5 days"
31st October - Still no offer so I used "chat" and was told by an illiterate agent that the offer would be issued "in 2-3 working days"
2nd November - I chased again, told by another chat agent that there was a "discrepancy" with the year of birth of my husband (they had used mine instead of his) and that it was now with the "dedicated team" to resolve, and again stated "2-3 working days"
2nd November - broker chased, says he wasn't told anything about a discrepancy with the year of birth
4th November - ANOTHER chat agent, quotes the same time frame
Now here is the thing (and thank you if you have made it this far!!):-
My husband and I have had an alert from ClearScore today, telling us that NatWest have carried out ANOTHER hard search, on Thursday 3rd November. Why would they have done another search?
And in addition to that, when I looked back at the initial search they did on 27th September (day of application) the year of birth they used for my husband WAS WRONG. All the soft searches they have done since have also used the wrong year of birth. So this has been an issue since day one, yet has only been picked up within the last few days!!
Has anyone else been in this position? Is it normal for them to do another hard search?

Hi everyone.New to the forum. We recently completed on our sale, temporarily back with parents whilst hopefully buying our second home which is a new build (fingers crossed).1) Self employed
2) Employed
LTV technically 69% but product applied for 75% LTV.Our timeline so far;
Mon 17/10/22 - Mortgage submitted via brokerFriday 28/10/22 - NatWest application live, requested one further doc doc submitted same day as held on file by broker
Thurs 3/11/22 Valuation booked
Fri 4/11/22 Valuation.
The wait is killing me. We are also under pressure as we had an exchange deadline with the developer of 6 weeks which isn’t looking very achievable based on Natwest timescales. Eeek
