I applied direct on 22nd Sept - my valuation was instructed on 04/10 and my offer approved subject to valuation which I am still waiting word on.

I know the surveyor phoned the estate agent on last Thurs 06/10 to arrange but currently still nervously waiting for the tracker to update.

I am expected to be downvalued as I offered 1.5% over asking to secure the sale.

That's not much considering I offered 7% over asking on the house before and didn't get accepted!
It’s strange how some people are getting underwritten before valuation. Yet others are getting there valuations done instantly. Can’t help wonder why the timeline is so different for different applications. I would have expected the timelines to be similar.

It was only 7 months ago, my mortgage broker knew all about it and still put it with NatWest, she said that we passed the credit checks at the start but it doesn’t help the worry waiting for underwriting.

Our valuation was on the 23rd then my mortgage broker chased them on the 26th and they said that the valuation came back okay at price we offered. They then said that not to call for an update before the 17th October so I haven’t heard of my mortgage broker since, nothing on the tracker has changed.

    Hi,

We applied for a remortgage with Natwest on the 2nd October (the day before the rates increased). An email was received to say a tracking number would be issued within 5 days, but no correspondence has been received since the 2nd October.

Is anyone else waiting for a tracking number? how long did it take to receive a this? i understand they're busy so that may be the reason for delay.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I applied on 28th September and received mine on 4th October. It didn’t work for the first 24 hours and then started working the following day.

Thanks, just concerned that we're now over the 5 working days. May have to call them tomorrow for an update.
  • I looked on the website as I had been waiting for a while and seen it said 5-10 working days. It said 5 working days on my email. So I would give it until the end of the week.
  • Our mortgage broker called this afternoon, we have our offer, it will be in writing by the end of the week. Thank God. 😊

I'm so hopeful you all get responses really soon. This wait has been excruciating.
  • @Camboudica fantastic news! Congratulations 🎉

    Hi,

This thread is so useful. Thought I would share my progress.

28th September - Application Submitted Directly

4th October - Received Tracker Information and Hard Credit Search

4th October - Uploaded all documents and ID etc.

5th October - All Documents Pending Review

    6th October - Valuation Instructed

7th October - ID Checks and Direct Debit Mandate ticked

10th October - Valuation Completed, but receipt not confirmed yet.

Everything has moved pretty rapid. However my application should be a breeze really. Light adverse credit, however quite historic. Affordability is comfortable and well below the maximum I could borrow. I have a set salary and in a long term employment. Single applicant. 10% deposit.

Only thing that concerned me was the light adverse credit. However this was checked before the valuation was instructed and during AIP so I expect this must be fine. Should be a breeze now if that has already passed.

How long did everybody wait to find out the results of the valuation?

    Hi Andy,

Thanks for showing an approx timescale atm.
We applied the day after you and have the tracking number last Thursday but no links to upload documents yet. Could I ask how the request came through? Email or just in the tracker?

    Thanks!
