Our valuation was done early May, and all ticked off like the comments above. We got our offer on the 13th July. Simple case as well, so be prepared for the wait now I’m afraid, but fingers crossed for you all.1

@ManSeekingMortgage I think we are at the stage now. We applied through a broker 7th July, he contacted us 14th to let us know valuation has been instructed for 28th July. Not heard anything else... I'm assuming they have checked documents...they haven't asked for more off us. Broker hasn't given us number to track.1

Hi
I am new to this but from what I have read from previous notes, NatWest could take another 10 days plus before they look at the documents, is this correct? The solicitor has already ordered searches as they have accessed this particular new build before, do you think I should ask them to hold fire?On my reservation form for the property it states in order for the developer to pay the stamp duty I need to have exchanged or completed by the 12th Aug.Any tips please?0 -
@madamegeorge oh, that would be good if I got confirmation through post. How long after applying did you get that? Our mortgage broker has been great so far, I'm just very impatient! Haha.0

Does anyone have experience with a timeline involving porting an existing mortgage as well as adding a partner to it?My partner has an existing mortgage with Natwest and we are porting it over to the new property, adding more to it, and adding me onto it.
It's bad enough that the earliest appointment they had for us is the 27th July, when we had our offer accepted on a house on the 29th June...
I worry that we will be severely holding up the chain with our process, I can't find anyone who has done what we are doing and who has described their experience/timeline.0 -
What was peoples timelines from NatWest receiving the valuation report to getting the offer? I’ve seen a couple of people saying a couple days and a couple of people saying a couple of weeks! 🫣0

Broker applied on the Monday and I got the confirmation by post on the Saturday. The mortgage offer was showing on the tracker the following Wednesday, so that was 10 calendar days to reach offer. Then I received the offer through the post 2 days later. Timeline looks like this:
Payslips & 3 months pay lines provided to broker 01/07
DIP submitted & approved via broker 04/07
Soft search showing on Experian
Mortgage Application via broker 04/07
Payslips & statements provided to NW via broker 04/07
Hard search showing on Equifax 04/07
NW requested further bank statement to evidence a transaction 06/07
Broker provided additional bank statement 06/07
Valuation booked (desktop) 08/07
Broker has diary note to chase NW 08/07 to enquire if they require anything
Broker confirmed NW were happy with the underwriting and offer would be issued subject to valuation 08/07 (expecting update by 14/07)
Confirmation of mortgage application rec'd by post from NW 10/07 (included mortgage tracking reference)
Valuation carried out 11/07
Valuation report produced 12/07
Offer appeared on mortgage tracker 13/07
Broker confirmed offer 14/07
Offer rec'd by post 15/07
Best of luck!

@kizzy1926 Thankyou! Yes, so far so good.
Broker made a huge difference but they've said me being organised and ready to respond with extra docs if need be was of help to it running smoothly. Hopefully can bring forward the completion date now.
Hope your timeline goes well.2
