Our advisor has now gone on leave for 2 weeks. No update from him at all. Just been told to use Chatter. No response at all.Next time ( hopefully there isn’t one ) I will certainly pay for a local broker. I suppose it’s my own fault for expecting “Free” is good.0

Our time line is from a few weeks ago but here goes…
Full Application - 28th April
Valuation - 10th May
Email from Broker to say Mortgage Approved - 19th May
Natwest Confirmation - 20th May
So in total 15 working days in total!
We paid £495 for an amazing broker who got us a deal we never thought possible! We spoke to a couple of brokers before we went ahead and we went with who made us feel most comfortable. She has been amazing throughout! I would say that it is worth paying for a broker rather that going direct or going for a free one.We are now waiting to exchange as all searches and enquiries are back!0 -
Finally after escalating yesterday, all of our documents have now been reviewed and ticked off on the tracker. They only thing that has been requested is my marriage certificate as my payslips are in my maiden name.Does anyone know, if they were unhappy with anything would it have been made known today ?0

Imz196 said:Hey Guys,
I thought I'll ask the question here.
My broker said my NatWest mortgage was approved and offer letter was sent on the 21st of June but I haven't received nothing in the post and the mortgage tracker online hasn't been updated as the last documents submitted on the 15th of June show as still pending review.
Is it normal for the NatWest tracker not to be up to date?
Many Thanks0 -

5th May - full application submitted
11th May - valuation
27th June - offer received
Did they take a long time to send you the offer letter after being approved? Mine was approved on the 21st of June and still no offer letter received.0 -
I thought I would add our timeline to the mix.
75% LTV borrowing max we could.
16/06 - Full Application Submitted
28/06 - Desktop Valuation Carried Out
30/06 - Mortgage Offer Made
All in all a seemingly quick experience. Broker was fantastic and chased Natwest every other day.

Woohoo our offer has been approved, confirmation letter to be sent in 5 days.
Our timeline again:
25/05 Offer Accepted
27/05 Mortage application submitted via L&C
30/05 Hard Search and Valuation instructed
08/06 Valuation done and report received, offer amount matched
14/06 Requested documents finally submitted after L&C delay
07/07 Offer confirmed by Broker on 6th and now confirmed on tracking
We had a few bank holidays in between, plus our case manager was off for a week and no-one took over the case. Not impressed with L&C overall, but all came together in the end.
Now just have to keep an overly keen buyer at bay, been asking for last few weeks to come do measurements as they want to order furniture. Think its a gamble doing so when we only just got our offer, the vendors are sparring between themselves, two separate solicitors, no draft contracts received yet so can't start with the searches, so we are a long way off yet. But at least one step closer with our offer.

Another day and another delay. We had to find an extra 5% deposit at the end of May, as house is classed as new build ( I mentioned this to L&C at the very beginning, but they insisted 90% LTV was fine ).
Gifted letter was uploaded to L&C beginning of June, and was satisfied.Got a call yesterday asking if I was happy with the 85% LTV, and if so where is the extra deposit coming from…. 1 month after I confirmed all this with them!0 -
Another timescale for anyone interested.
Payslips & 3 months pay lines provided to broker 01/07
DIP submitted & approved via broker 04/07
Soft search showing on Experian
Mortgage Application via broker 04/07
Payslips & statements provided to NW via broker 04/07
Hard search showing on Equifax 04/07
NW requested further bank statement to evidence a transaction 06/07
Broker provided additional bank statement 06/07
Valuation booked (desktop) 08/07
Broker has diary note to chase NW 08/07 to enquire if they require anything further
Hoping this all looks like it's moving fairly quickly, although broker is preparing me for another couple of weeks! The anxiety is unreal.0 -
Just going to share my experience so far doing this myself as a first time buyer:
AIP given and full mortgage application sent through 01/07
Rang and made NatWest aware of a gift for my deposit and a note was added to me application 06/07
Still awaiting any sort of update it just shows as my digidocs being uploaded on the 1st and it says it will take 5-7 working days, fingers crossed!0
