Does anyone know of NatWest will discuss my application with me or only the broker?0

No harm in trying, though you will probably only get as far as customer service rather than the underwriting team but they are still more helpful than our broker. I called Natwest direct on Saturday to ask why our case is taking longer than the 15 days, turns out our broker only sent one of my business bank statements 2 days after they told me they sent all documents. So infuriating, because those added 2 days are already on top of 2 weeks delay caused by the broker. The agent said they will notify the underwriting team of this and they may escalate it, but cant guarantee it. Every little helps, I guess.Mrs6653 said:Does anyone know of NatWest will discuss my application with me or only the broker?1 -
I see everyone is is have the same issue with NatWest unfortunately. Our Application went in the beginning of May. All required docs sent ( 11th May ) , including ID. They came back on 23rd June asking for Passports ( we sent in driving licenses initially as requested )
Applied via L&C. Still waiting on update.
We are both employed, borrowing 150k less than what we can. No adverse credit Etc.Nightmare so far all this waiting.0 -
So the broker said there was nothing they can do about NatWest processes, I called and they have escalated the case and I should hear something possibly by end of tomorrow, but to call back if not.Giggidy said:

We received our mortgage offer in April (in a record 5 working days from application to offer), but at the eleventh hour of the legal process, our solicitor found an issue with the property which needed reporting to NatWest. We've been waiting over a week for them to respond and the chain is understandably getting pretty annoyed with us.
Broker and main solicitor are on annual leave this week so I'm desperately trying to move this forward myself!0 -
I just called the general mortgage helpline 0800 096 9527 and the agent was really helpful.0

Just thought I would share a timeline of our recent application just incase it helps anyone.
Applied direct with Natwest - 1/6
Initial documents uploaded - 8/6
Valuation instructed and a few questions/requesting more documents - 21/6
Had to send in I.D a few times due to poor contrast - 23 -27/6
Valuation carried out - 25/6
Valuation report received- 27/6
Email to say application was approved - 28/6
Formal offer letter received - 1/7
We are both employed with 85% LTV and a less than good credit score. We were pleased with the response with natwest. Our previous application with a different lender took twice as long ( that application was for a different property that fell through).1 -

Hey Guys,
I thought I'll ask the question here.
My broker said my NatWest mortgage was approved and offer letter was sent on the 21st of June but I haven't received nothing in the post and the mortgage tracker online hasn't been updated as the last documents submitted on the 15th of June show as still pending review.
Is it normal for the NatWest tracker not to be up to date?
Many Thanks0 -
Must be so frustrating, particularly as you are not self employed and or have bad credit to warrant holding things up. We are using L&C as well and so far they have been a complete disappointment, zero customer service.Apollo81 said:I see everyone is is have the same issue with NatWest unfortunately.
