Talktalk problems (merged)

I cannot access that site.0

It gets worse. I tried sending an email to Xara support about it (in case TT don't respond to me) and it was rejected (I sent it through gmail) as the domain/user doesn't exist! Same happened to my Outlook email even though I don't use TT's smtp server.
If there's a problem with TT's domain lookup table or something it seems strange vanman7 can view the site ok."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Well I tried changing the DNS servers to the OpenDNS servers on my router but still can't access the Xara site."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

So looks like it's a wider spread problem then which would explain why changing DNS servers made no difference and why my email couldn't get through when it goes through fasthosts email servers. Hopefully that means someone will actually fix it then."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

There's another thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=693379 about not being able to access www.digitalspy.co.uk and I can't either (I definitely could not so long ago) so must be part of the same problem."She is quite the oddball. i have sent a pm to Stephen (from talktalk, as prev posts), but will post here too in the hope of some advice...
my friend rang me this morning, in tears of frustration, with her talktalk problems.
she signed up for the landline with eve/w'end calls & BB package before xmas. received her free laptop & router etc, but has never been able to get online!
she's rang & spoken to them about a dozen times & has not got anywhere at all...
it seems that as she DIDN'T have a BT line in the 1st place, she has been mis-sold this package (their words, not hers).
i think all she wants to do now is just cancel, send the laptop & equipment back & forget about it - seems this isn't very straight forward with talktalk/CPW tho'!
is there a phone no. for a complaints manager? who can she contact to get this sorted??

Tut tut tut...TT at it again!!!
if awards were given to the worst companies in the world then i think TT would win every time!!!
your friend needs to write to them and tell them that they have been mis sold the package and that they want to cancel it, and if they dont she will sumit a complaint to the trading standards office under the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 and Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999 upon the basis that she has been mis sold goods.
good luck to your friend. :cool:Not just a white vanman:cool:
I'm no expert in things really but i do have 36 years of experience in life, and some of those years fighting off bailiffs.
Nicknamed Victor Meldrew among friends as i love to complain;)0 -
Is anyone with them for phone and "FREE" broadband on the LLU exchange? Is it really this bad forever!???? I've just moved to them and had so many problems up to my live date and now I am live my speeds are about a third of what they were with Madasafish!
It seems most folk don't get the speeds promised so what's the point of the massive 40gig usage and how do they get away with it!?
Thanks in advance!

With them and it seems to generally be at the max. speed my line can take which was a lot faster than our previous ISP."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
