What about trying the wholesalers that the florists use, I have heard of one local to me (Glasgow) that lets the general public in, but then you might have to buy them in bulk - nothing tried, nothing gained, they can only say no.
    :) FiFi

We have one by us called Country Baskets, I have a card so I will go in today & price & post back later, I have to look for some flannels so a busy day for me ....

What do you think of these bouquets? I would like to try a similar 'gardening' bouquet for my Mum's birthday in March. I also have my SIL's birthday coming up in February and I've already bought her a pair of pyjamas for a fiver in the sales. Pyjama cakes, here we come!

Wow these are fab, I really like these, if you work out how to do these can you let me know...

    Thanks

I like those baby bouquets, slightly nicer than the nappy cakes :D

Has anyone got one of those cake display things...you know the ones that are like 3 plates with a metal handel thing between them? I was thinking of making a selection of 'cakes' and displaying them on one of those.

Those bouquets are beautiful too, I might have a go for my SIL instead of the hamper I had planned.

  • A friend and neighbour popped in yesterday and asked me what I was doing with a pile of different coloured flannels on the table. The more I tried to explain the more strange looks I received!

I'm going to dig out my sewing machine later as I really have my craft head on now! That reminds me, I bought some cheap hand towels last year and just before Xmas sewed on a pretty ribbon border. I wrapped some bars of soap in tissue and then tied with the same ribbon. They made very reasonably priced gift sets. T J Hughes have some cheapo (but nice quality)hand towels at the moment, I think they were £2 for 2.

Just back from Country Baskets a wholesale florist, no strawberries or cherries, only got a spray of blackberry balls, or mini apples, pears or lemons.(they have 12 in a pack)
I did ask & they said it was a bit early for strawberries or cherries!!!!!

If there is anything else I can check for you just let me know

thanks Ginga we have a fruit & flower market here
that sells all the bits and bobs but I noticed last
time I was there ours seemed a bit expensive for
accessorries.Good value for rolls of cellophane.

Went into Tesco not a single white flannel left
and all the flannels are now 75p each, which I
    thought expensive for a supermarket.
