I will be quite happy to pay for your labels! Rosekitten, your design looks great, It would look very professional to tuck one of these beside the little cakes!!! Moneyformummy, if you are ordering the labels I am happy to share but I don't have Vista, would those labels only work with Vista Programme?

I hope the cases come soon, I can't wait to get started..
(bought 3 dark red flannels in Asda this morning  have to have my daily fix)

MFM what was the decoration like on the cakes from dealextreme? Plastic cherry/strawberry?
Going to phone craft shop now...

    Hi

Cool I'll order the labels later on - they're return address labels that you peel off and stick. They're about the size of your thumb. Vistaprint is the printing company. www.vistaprint.co.uk - if you choose the 21 day delivery option it's really cheap. Most of the time you just pay postage.

If you do browse this site the sticky notepads are free - you customise them and just pay postage which is about £2.50 ish - I personalised some for Christmas presents with a silver holder for about £2.50

Anway - off on one there and back to the question. The decoration was one plastic/fabric leaf and one plastic cherry on the swiss roll portion and one leaf and one little frosted peach on the 'strawberry cake'

I've pulled a plastic flower arrangement apart for the leaves! They're ivy, but hopefully no-one will know any different.

I want to use soaps for the berries so that it ties in with the gift and hopefully smells good too.

Hope that's helpful -have a good day

P.S I'll try and post pics tonight.
I didn't expect to get anything done today - and so far I haven't been disappointed.

I would love to use soaps too, but haven't seen them anywhere, the bodyshop used to do little soaps but not anymore.

Along the lines of home made presents - Sainsbury have reduced their Christmas baking kits. They have the SuperCook Choco Snowman Kit for 49p reduced from £1.99. http://www.supercook.co.uk/products/christmas/supercook-christmas-snowman-kit/14348
The contents are a snowman shaped mould, white chocolate buttons, small icing tubes and a cut out hat. The sell-by date is the end of August but once made, the mould can be reused with whatever chocolate you like!

What do you think of these bouquets? I would like to try a similar 'gardening' bouquet for my Mum's birthday in March. I also have my SIL's birthday coming up in February and I've already bought her a pair of pyjamas for a fiver in the sales. Pyjama cakes, here we come!

    Aren't they just beautiful.
I'm probably being an idiot but are they fake leaves & roses in the bouquets?

I'd love to make something like that but i'm not very creative & would probably end up making a right mess of it. They are very expensive though aren't they. I take it the socks & little baby outfits aren't from primark then :rotfl:

I just wanted to say how lovely these all are! I'm so jealous :o

I made some reindeer at christmas and everyone loved them, have bought a white flannel to give making a bunny a go with a soap or bath bombs in like the reindeer to see how it turns out - all I need now is some time to sit down and do him!!

I so want to give all these a go now, and I have to come to work! Gah!

I reckon the socks are wired in
similar to this below,I only had
a pair of my own socks to use
but if you were using brand new
socks it would look a lot neater
    from the top.

when you look at the bouquet they
dont show it in full I think its a
cellophane cone and in the bottom
there will likely be a piece of oasis
sponge block that all the flowers and wired
socks are placed into.I would imagine if
they were using fresh flowers them the
bouquet would always have to be kept
upright as the oasis block will have had to be
soaked in water first. But if you used dried or silk
flowers this would not be so much of as you would use
    the block dry.

Also the tape they have probably covered the wires
in is a florists tape(the name escapes me at the moment)
but there is a similar tape they sell in hardware shops
plumbers use it to seal joints its exactly the same
stuff and its a lot cheaper,I will try and find out
    the name later.
