I have a question: When you've made your muffins, I take it you fold it up into a long strip. I can't make mine look neat like yours (or in fact, resemble anything other than a balled up sock - even when I tried putting it in a fairy cake case !)

How many times do you fold it? Into quarters seems too tall, but if I do it in sixths it seems too flat. I also can't make it peak in the middle like a cake.

Am I doing something wrong? I want mine to look pretty like yours!!! Help!

    Thank you!

If you look at post 52, Rosekitten explains it with pictures (the star!) That is how I do mine now, roll it around really tight. If you want it peaked you just wind it down a bit as you go along so the middle sticks up.

    have fun:D

I was thinking.... if I can't find fruitie soaps or plastic strawberries/cherries I am going to make them myself with fimo clay. I only have blue and purple in the house and had a little play, not that hard to do..

I have tried with Hama beads (the iron beads) but its just flat..

I am waiting for the weather to improve to go to the big craftshop, it's out in the country and in bad weather not easy to get to. They have fimo and books and might even have the fruits.. fingers crossed.

I went into the paper mill shop today
they are doing these little bunches of wired
silk ribbon flowers.39p a bunch or 4 bunches
    for £1.In pink,blue or gold.Got a bunch to try
out and they dont look too bad.Just wishing
that I had got some gold ones because they
would be lovely tied into the bow on top of the
    swiss roll cake.

They look good enough to eat!
I know they come in bulk buy, but they can always be divided up amongst us can't they?

    What do you think?

Hi - just to say that I have placed order for a portion of 9 (approx) strawberries - they came to 73p each including postage and packing AND they take Paypal - Yipee!
I didn't expect to get anything done today - and so far I haven't been disappointed.

I found these: seems reasonable and postage is $20
I have never ordered anything with a credit card in a different currency before, how does it work? Does your creditcompany work out the exchange rate and charge you for doing so?
  • I tried rolling up an adult sock last night to make it look like a flower :rotfl:
It looked terrible & nothing at all like a flower or how that woman made them in her bouquets.
