have a look as well at the foodboxes of cakeboxes (can't remember what heading they are under) they are so cute. Especially the Easter window box but at 69p each.. still very cute and lovely

found some of these cakes in boxes
    they look really good

Rosekitten, we can so make them!! Especially with those Cello bags I ordered.. We just need those little fruits now. We can print the band around the cake ourselves on the computer with fancy fonts..
Maybe I should buy those 500 plastic strawberries from America!! lol

    count me in too

I found these on the internet
and am going to post them on
    the hamper thread as well
    they are tea towel cakes
these are coffee & tea cakes
looking at this I would say its
    a cardboard tube,theirs are
    lace edged,I would say better
stood on a cake board and
    a tea towel wrapped around
    and tied with a bow,
    then filled with stuff
    I would imagine wrapped in
    cellophane these would be
    very effective and may prove
    a cheaper soloution to using
a basket if you have run out
or cant find one cheap enough.
I have seen these types of
tea towels very cheap in the £
    shops Home & Bargain etc

The moment was lost however when my husband caught sight of the printed off photographs from here and fell about laughing! I think it had something to do with me showing him a listing for hand knitted potatoes on ebay last night.

I'll get my revenge on him, once someone on here suggests a male gift which can be made with flannels!

Also found this a tyre made from a black
    towel with car goodies in

you know you were looking for strawberries
for the cakes well I noticed these apples
    each one on bendy wire.

    and then remembered
there is a wholesaler here that sells these
    bunches mainly the floral type
but they do fruit in them as well
something like this would be ideal for
the cakes.I will try and see if I can get in
and see if they do strawberries & cherries
that bunch above is £6.99 BIN on ebay
which seemed a bit expensive to me.
If there is anything I will let you all know

My quick feeble attempt. No working printer and no cellophane left after Christmas.

All those pictures are so good, they look so easy. It really is in the finishing touches I think,

Challenge: find small cherries and strawberries!! I will phone the craftshop on Monday, they have all sorts of stuff, its an Aladdin's cave, that place
