Largest monthly chunk paid for the year - £108.50
Pushing the pennies around to try and make pounds...
    2021 1p challenge complete; Tilly Tidy £875.44
  • Good morning everyone, hope you're all keeping safe and well.
#24 another £5.16 added so my figure is now £15.78/£667.95 (30/365 days marked off).
This latest payment was made up of 30p which had been left on the landing window ledge for the last few days and also an empty of my purse. The 30p had been left by one of the kids as she 'doesn't do' change! I'll have that then!!
I need some of those plastic bank bags to get all this change deposited - does anyone know if the bank still gives these out free of charge and what value/amount they'll accept in full bags?
    Thanks

    Pay all your debt by Xmas 2023 - #39 £2,570.09 / £12,000.00 (21.4%)

    Evening all! Happy Friday!

#21 checking in to declare a running total of £77.99! January is going well and I'm keeping up with the big amounts. Lovely to see lots of new people joining the challenge and the progress of all those already rolling!

I love that - 'doesn't do change'! Well, we do! Popped into Mr. T today and paid on the self-service till and the person before me clearly 'didn't do change' either - 10 pennies for me, yay! :)

I think the banks still give out the money bags. If I remember rightly, it's £20 in £2s and £1s, £10 in 50ps and 20ps, £5 in 10ps and 5ps, and £1 in 2ps and 1ps. As a big fan of the sealed money tins, I've filled many a little money bag!

Love to everyone and happy wishes for a sunny weekend :) xxx

Hope everyone is having a good Saturday  :)
  • Is it too late to take part, @elsiepac ? I haven't made any contributions to my pot yet (will do a donation of the accumulated days I've missed so far) - currently browsing for the best bank account to use for it!
