Here I am with my final reckoning for the challenge for the whole of 2021.  Nothing  is likely to be added to my accounts today and they are looking nice and tidyyay.

I have managed to squeeze a few more dribs and drabs since Sunday by levelling all my accounts ready for the start of a new financial year (unlike the Government's, my financial year starts on  1st Jan roll). My December total is now £115.16 and the grand total for 2021 is  £ 1313.37cloud9givemedanceheadspin

When I started the challenge I knew I couldn't achieve the £1825+ that IrishSean suggested but I aimed for somewhere in the region of £100 a month on average/ £1200 for the year.  Some months I couldn't manage it, others I surpassed it so it evened itself out over the year.  I actually ended up by  cracking that target with £113.37 to spare so I'm beyond surpriseddropjaw.   I'm not all that mathematically-able but by my calculations it averages out at around £ 3.60 a day.  I was following the 'tidying to the nearest £5' route, plus any extra that happened to appear unexpectedly in my accounts.

All I can say to anyone considering doing this challenge next year is to stick with it.  Small, regular amounts really do make a difference and the days when nothing is there to be tidied will be more than compensated for on other days.

I've enjoyed sharing your 'journey' (I hate that much overused worddoh) and wish you all Happy Tidying in 2022thumbsup

So, for the final time, it's byefrom me.  Stay safe!

Happy New Year all - and well done to everyone that's been on here this year. It's been really nice seeing people chat away, even if I'm on infrequently :)
I didn't manage much the last couple of months, my total for the year is £928.71, which I'm actually really pleased with. (Just trying not to think about all the money I just spent on appliances for the new house....)

Definitely joining in with the new thread, thanks for setting it up Naomim - I'll hopefully be a bit more active!
