Missed doing my Sunday update for one of the very few times all year. Manic situation at home, power off, water leak partially flooding kitchen. You name it, we probably had it happen here ! Slowly getting righted, at least I can get online and some normality has been re-established in the kitchen (if it could ever have been considered 'normal' in the first place) LOL
Some big essential spends look like happening but not until next year so won't give me anything extra to tidy during this year's challenge.
Last week's update. to Sunday was £22.54 added and a running total of £44.35 for December and £1242.56 for the year.
Hoping everyone is safe. well and saving.New Challenge: Tilly Tidy as much as possible in 2022. Running total to 26 Feb: £183.77

Not many 'tidies' left until the end of the year. I can't believe a whole year is nearly done and I've managed to stick to this challenge. Things seem to be slowing almost to a halt now though, I definitely don't think I'll be ending the year with a saving flourish.
Only managed to tidy £11.71 this past week. December total so far is £56.06 (one of my worst months all year) and running yearly total now £1254.27.
Keep at it, everyone, the end is in sight xxxNew Challenge: Tilly Tidy as much as possible in 2022. Running total to 26 Feb: £183.77

It's
! I was up so early today so decided to get some online stuff done whilst the house is still mercifully quiet and before the mayhem starts. Doing my usual Sunday round up on a Saturday today.
Managed to save a bit more than I expected, can't imagine how that happened, but in the past week I tidied £29.86. That gives a December total so far of £85.92 and a yearly one of £1284.13.
Only six more sleeps until the final reckoning but I'm not sure if/when my internet banking will update during that time to give an accurate final result.
Have a memorable Christmas, everyone, however you're managing to spend it.

Hi Peeps,
Since joining this thread late in the year(september!) it has definately been very beneficial. I can't believe how much I have managed to push away. Well over £500. I am on for this if this thread runs for another year. I have moved some to my GD trust fund without even feeling the pinch. The rest I will stash in one of my decent bank accounts with not a bad return so I can maximise each month.

As for the challenge running again next year I doubt IrishSean will be running it as he hasn't put in an appearance since the early months of this one. No idea what's happened to him, I hope he and his family are all OK. At least he sowed the seed of 'small and often' savings for me. It's changed my life!
Maybe you could start a challenge yourself, 2Scratters, on the same lines as the current one. I won't be taking part though, I think the saving bug has well and truly bitten me and I can keep up the momentum now without posting and updating my totals on here every week..New Challenge: Tilly Tidy as much as possible in 2022. I've been practising behind the scenes and thoroughly enjoyed paying off an extra £35 odd off my credit card this month due to Tilly Tidying, I really wish I had found this thread earlier, also hoping it runs next year*Stop giving up what you really want for what you want now*

If nobody else takes up the baton maybe you could start a new thread. You wouldn't have to keep a spreadsheet of participants or anything as people who take part in the current challenge just keep their own records and update their signatures themselves. Just popping in and keeping people motivated would be enough. Have a think about it. It would be a shame for the momentum to fizzle out.New Challenge: Tilly Tidy as much as possible in 2022. Well I would definitely join in next year but as I am late to the party maybe someone who has more notches in their belt would like to do it, I really hope so, I will keep a daily look out 🙂

Afternoon all, sorry not been on... Christmas and all that jazz. 😁
I hope everyone had a good time. Only managed £4.50 this month and haven't kept my eye on the ball for the yearly total. Next year I will do better. I might be able to save more but be more accountable!
I'm happy to set up the challenge for anyone to join in. Keep your eyes peeled!
