Great to see that you are all still supporting your local foodbanks.
    Ours continues to be busy.

For a low cost veggie meal. Pasta, garlic and lemon juice with some well cooked broccoli. Mix it all together and broccoli is a bit like pesto. Frozen broccoli works well. You can throw in some onion and bacon too for the carnivores amongst us.
Another rubbish food day but I’ve started my gold body magic award. Can’t get my head in the right space for food. I need a kick up the backside to get my head in gear.....

Lovely food pics as usual and great food bargains bubbs.
I mainly shop at A!di but our local MrT has a drop off point for the food bank. They match whatever gets donated.
You're right about low syns Denise and maman. I don't think it would be sustainable in the long term, but I wanted to guarantee a loss this week. I did cheat on Tuesday and have that 19 syn bakewell slice, so not always a good girl  :)
Changed my lunch and swopped out the ham for cottage cheese. I had ham egg SW chips and beans for dinner mmmmmm.
Now for some rum - hurrah!

Coxy, i do one that is connected to the refuge and homeless, i also take car loads of clothes/toys/h0usehold items . This last year i must have taken 100 or more car loads 😱 and my car has been rammed full! But during first lockdown it was going out as quick as we got it in, the refuge was that busy :(

Loving your dinner coxy. 😋 Egg and chips is an absolute favourite of mine. My DH doesn't eat eggs so pre lockdown it was something I'd indulge in when he was out of an evening. Not having Speed is OK now and again (I average mine across a day) but do be sure to get plenty.

I like the idea of Tesco matching the food bank donations but, like you, I do my main shop in Aldi. I reckon the food bank (like me) gets a better deal as I get more for the money. Swings and roundabouts.? 🤔

Morning all, not as bright today but at least it's dry and forecast to warm up later.  Machine load of washing done and hanging on the line.

Went for a nice walk along the beach to the next village yesterday afternoon in the sunshine and hopefully will do another today but will probably drive to the next village and walk to the one after that and back again as it's not as busy with people as it's a bit off the beaten track!

    Today's plan:

B - fry up - sausages; HM hash browns; egg; mushrooms; tomatoes; beans - P; S; F; 2? (not sure of syns will have to wait to see how much fat comes out of them as got them from a different butchers to usual to try as it's more convenient than our usual one).
    L - Welsh rarebit - HEA; HEB; P; F
    D - butter chicken; rice - P; S; F; 2.5

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
Syns - sausages 2?; butter 2.5; couple of rum & ginger beer 5

PS. Quite a bit of fat came out of the sausages so will syn at 4.5 each so an extra 7 syns so total of 15.5 for today but was under yesterday and Thursday so not a problem!  Glad we only bought enough sausages for today!

Hey @bubbs, I woke up thinking about 'picky' tea and couldn't remember who had it and what it was...and now I know who to ask!

I'm trying to make my weekend food a bit more interesting and a bit different from weekdays, so would love some ideas and recipes, please.

    What is picky tea?
Does someone have a recipe for the KFC?
Is there a recipe for hash browns?
And, what does everyone else do/eat on weekends to make them a little different?
