We always have a fry up at the weekend for breakfast. Hash browns are just grated potato and grated onion mixed together and dried on a tea towel and then pressed into cakes and fried with spray oil or you can bake them if you've got the oven on. We didn't have the hash browns this morning and for some reason they didn't want to cook and everything else was ready so we will have them tomorrow instead as they just need finishing off so shouldn't take too long!
The KFC recipe I use is based on the Pinch of Nom one but instead of Panko breadcrumbs use instant mash powder (this used to be Free so most of us don't bother synning it now even though it's supposed to be now!). Link here:

It's a glorious day here, hot and sunny. We had a really long walk this morning and felt too hot in our coats.😊
What I do to make the weekend different Frankie is save syns and use them for wine! It's not the official SW way but it's what I've done from Day 1. Personally I'd rather have more or less what I want at weekends than have a small daily treat but everyone's different. Bubbs saves syns too for her 'picky tea'. I'll leave her to tell you what it consists of. 😉
This is the recipe I use for KFC. As ever, I adapt it. On recommendation, I use chicken thighs instead of breast fillets. They really are tastier and much cheaper. You can add other spices and any chicken stock cube you like, I know bubbs adds mustard powder as well. I find one egg is enough.

I make up the coating for about 3 meals (for 2) in advance. The mash I buy comes in 120g packs although I have seen tubs of Smash on offer in places like Farmfoods.

So it's enough for double the recipe (using generous tsps of spices). It keeps well in a jar for a few weeks.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk, raspberries (S)
L- veggie omelette (P,S), ham (P), beetroot (S)
D- chicken jambalaya (P,S,F)
Syns- weekend wine😁1 -
Hello all, not had a great week! Not bothered with what I have eaten, couldn’t care less really! Had our beautiful fur baby PTS yesterday 😭. Lay beside him in the sunshine while he slipped away 😭. Boss let me have day off to be with him otherwise hubby would have to go through it alone. In the end all 3 of were able to be there although son decided to stay in car with other dog. Was really peaceful way to go with both of us with him, couldn’t have asked for a better way. Still in pieces though 💔🐾🌈.
Didnt weigh today!
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

So sorry to hear your news TIE - what a beautiful fur baby. Sending hugs x
I was up early and at A!di for 8am. Just had an apple and cup of tea beforehand. Got home, unpacked and thought I'd cook myself some breakfast only DS1 arrived with puppy - can we look after him for a couple of hours as they completed on their house purchase yesterday and need to go to diy store for supplies. Was meeting a friend for a walk at 10.30am so only managed an A!di benefit bar, before walking 5.5k! Got home, rushed down a prawn mayo and lettuce sandwich before taking puppy to DS1 house. Spent the afternoon cutting back in his garden, so some body magic! No fridge or kettle there so took ours, plus snacks. Just waiting for chicken arrabiata to cook!
Food today (write off!)
B - Apple, benefit bar - 3
L - prawn mayo and lettuce sandwich - HEXB/2
D - chicken arrabiata - syns 2.5 for pesto
Snacks - (another) benefit bar, satsumas, 1 x galaxy truffle and a hot cross bun!
I don't even want to think about the total syns
Have a good evening all

It was one day Coxy; don't beat yourself up about it. We all have days like that where things don't go to plan! DH does it to me quite often - I'm sure he's trying to sabotage me at the moment. Things like not sticking to the menu plan - It was going to be quite high syn duck breast today for dinner but no he has to go and buy a huge belly of pork to cook on the BBQ so I shall just have a one rib (hopefully it won't be more than 100g as that will be 10 syns so quite enough for the meat in one meal!
It's a bit damp and misty this morning, glad I got the washing done yesterday as don't think it would dry today.
Today's plan:
B - fry up - bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans - P; S; F
L - carrot & lentil soup; slice bread - P; S; F; 0.5 HEB
D - belly pork; roast potatoes, roasted carrots, onions & peppers, cabbage & peas; apple sauce - S; F; 10.5
S - Ryvita & Light Primula - 0.5 HEB; part HEA2
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - Primula Light (part
HEB - bread 0.5; Ryvita 0.5
Syns - pork belly 10; apple sauce 0.5

It was lovely and sunny yesterday so after doing some batch cooking in the morning, I took my lunch out to eat in the garden and then stayed there.
It's looking sunny today too so may be tempted to do the same!
Food today:
B: fruit & yogurt
L: scrambled eggs & mushrooms on toast
T: smothered beef burger, chips and salad
I adore pork belly @joedenise. I'm very jealous!1
