Thanks bubbs.  I've not actually seen the no added sugar jars in my local Mr Ts.  Will have to look out for that one - it would be brilliant to take away in the motorhome.

That's where i got this and it was on club card price £1, usually expensive that's why i dont have it often 🤣 normally about £1.80 i think.

Oh got a bargain in tesco this morning 🤣 it was called pushing my luck as i knew the sign wasn't right, but i didn't take the pee i only had 2 , how much would you say these chickens were?

    Here is lunch

Made some beetroot jelly thought i have another bottle of white vinegar but didn't 🙄 so need to get some in the morning as have a bowl full of beetroot 🤣
Tea, i added some fresh pineapple as it needed using up, but i didn't cook it, i turned the sweet & sour off and added the pineapple and stirred it in :D

That's good to know bubbs. My DH loves sweet and sour and I've never managed to get a HM sauce exactly right.  Allegedly it's on offer in Sainsbury's. I'll look tomorrow. 😊

I do hope you don't get too many side effects from the vaccine. It seems to vary from person to person and depending on which vaccine you have. Mostly it's just a day or so though.

I went out this afternoon, mainly because I wanted petrol and  was down to the last jar of beetroot!  All sorted now. 😉 It's still 65p for a large jar in Home Bargains but stock (of many things) was low.
I will try and remember to look tomorrow as want some more at that price :D

My arm and hand hurt 😫 but if that's all i get i'll be happy :D

That'w what I do too bubbs; it warms through nicely in the hot sauce.

That label looks like the chicken are £1.50.  Hope that's all you paid!  I would have bought a couple too at that price even though I'm not planning a roast chicken dinner next month (yes next month's plan is done!).

I've been a bit mia this week, reading along but all over the place food wise.
It seems that any kind of stress and anxiety and I'm eating my feelings.

So, I've made some life choices that will eradicate the main sources of stress and I'm going to just concentrate on my physical and mental health for the time being. I've got a lot of weight to lose and my fitness levels are the worse they've ever been, not to mention my inability to sleep the night through!

Gosh, I'm a mess...anyway menu plan for the week is done, shopping list for tomorrow is also done so I'm committing to coming on here daily and making myself accountable. I think it's going to be the only way.

Good for you Frankie. Other than the obvious (weightloss) what I love about SW is that the formula makes you eat healthily. Lean protein, loads of veg, limited carbs, wholefood and enough treats not to feel deprived. What's not to like. 😁
Bargains bubbs, you're so good at showing that SW doesn't have to be expensive. This thread is a good mix of SW and mse.👍

Morning all!  Might have to pick up a jar or two of the S&S sauce - like you maman I can never get it to be 100% accurate at home.  I'm also an emotional eater Frankie, hoping that your stress has now gone for good.

DH is feeling a lot better today, arm is still a little swollen but nothing too major.  Hope you're feeling ok today bubbs!  About to go and make the second coffee of the day and some overnight oats for breakfast.  No real idea on lunch again - ended up having soup yesterday and will probably have the same again today.  Dinner tonight is lemon and garlic chicken which I'll serve with some stir fry vegetables and rice.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Aww, thank you all for your kind words...this little group reminds me of my first Slimming World group that I went to. I never managed to find a group as supportive and positive since, so I feel like I'm in the right place here. :)

@maman I think Slimming World is the best eating plan and the one closest to normal life and how we should be generally eating (in my opinion) I just lost my way with all the new ideas out there, but I've learnt (eventually) that cutting out groups and types of food doesn't work for me as they then become my focus!

In regards emotional eating, I need to find other ways of dealing with stress generally. It's impossible to cut everything stressful out of your life so if anyone has ways they handle it that don't involve food or alcohol, I'd appreciate it.

    Food for today:
    B: fruit & yog
    L: Soup & pitta
T: Beefy mince, JP & veg

A simple day today. I'm still using up my batch cooking from the freezer.

    Hi everyone,

bubbs - hope you're feeling okay after your vaccine. Good tip on the UB sauces - will take a look in Ts over the weekend.
Frankie - sending you strength and positivity, please keep posting.

Weigh in day for me and reporting a 2lb loss this week, which I'm really pleased about. Have been very mindful of syns - used to have at least 10 per day now averaging 5, so reckon this is helping. Another 3.5lb off will see me in the next stone category.

    Food today:
    B - apple, puffed wheat, skimmed milk - HEXB/HEXA1
L - salad leaves, tomatoes, pickles, lean ham, cous cous (1)
D - 2 poached eggs, sw chips, baked beans
Snacks - A!pen light bar (3), prawns (will defrost some to nibble on later)
Syns - Will have a rum and pepsi m@x later so 6.5 total

Hope you all have a good day,
    Coxy
