Morning all!  Only eating when you're hungry is a good thing sary!  Otherwise you're just consuming unnecessary calories really - and that's something I need to try and work on!  If your new workplace is anything like mine, there isn't anywhere to eat so you have to eat at your desk.  Our kitchen is literally an old cupboard with a couple of fridges and microwaves and a kettle, with just about enough room for one person to stand in there.  In the warmer weather you can go outside and sit by the canal, but again we only have 30 minutes so by the time you get down there and find a seat, it's almost time to come back up.

DH's feeling a bit groggy after his covid jab yesterday which is a good sign as it shows it's working.  I'm also not feeling brilliant today as star week is on it's way so lots of peppermint tea for me today to try and pre-empt any bloating.  Not feeling too hungry yet but when I do, I have overnight oats to eat.  No idea what I'll have at lunch, all depends on when I have breakfast.  Dinner tonight will be macaroni cheese with some added leek to it - just need something comforting I think, especially when the weather is a bit rubbish outside.

Hope you all have a good day!

Morning all.  Hope your DH feels better soon ruby; I know what it's like!  I was quite poorly for 24 hours but still tired the next day and needed to sleep for a couple of hours in the afternoon and I never do that usually!

WI this morning and I've finally lost 0.5lb!!! but this is still up 0.5lb from the last time I sent my weight to the old consultant mid January but I'm happy with that overall.  It could have been much worse, couldn't it?

    Today's plan:

    B - breakfast hash topped with eggs - potatoes; peppers; onions; mushrooms; eggs - P; S; F
    L - burger and onions in WM roll - HEB; S; 0.5
    D - chicken schnitzel; mini roasties; braised red cabbage - P; S; F; 1.5

    HEA - milk
    HEB - wholemeal roll
    Syns - burger 0.5; breadcrumbs 1.5

Have a good day and keep safe.

Well done on the weight loss @joedenise – I also love marmite on toast, or bread, with lashings of butter – I would eat marmite with anything!

So I made the Bolognese last night, it was a mix recipe of SW beef tagliatelle as I just used the veg I had in. it was actually super tasty so im looking forward to the leftovers tonight as the flavours will have combined even more!

I have been sooo good this week and my hand has not dipped into the sweetie draw at work once. Chocolate hobnobs, boiled sweets, chocolate caramels, irn bru hum bugs you name it it is there and I am super pleased I have kept out!

Lunch is on the hop today as I am on site later on today so it’s a chicken and mushroom pot noodle, my only syns will be spent on this today unless I decide to have a freddo later on.

Fingers crossed for some positive news on the scales!

Well done denise. I know we're aiming for STS ( or better still a loss) but a half a pound change in weight in over a  month of lockdown is excellent. 😊

No problem if you really like Pot Noodles klew but you could have very similar for much fewer syns. Batchelor's  packet of chicken & mushroom Pasta n Sauce is just half a syn or  a pot is 1 syn. Depends whether you think 9 syns  for Pot Noodle is worth it. 🤔 Totally agree that Bolognese (and chilli) is better the day after.

I'm feeling quite slim today. I had a good week last week, no guessing of syns and finished with a couple left. It's a good feeling having 105 to look forward to.  I'll do my meal plan later for the coming week. 😊

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), HEB toast, HEA1 milk, fried eggs (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S)
L- LO hash and veg (P,S,F)
    D-  SW Bolognese (P,S), spaghetti (F), HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns- 0

    Hi everyone,
Well done on the loss denise. Weigh day for me tomorrow, so will see what gives. Hope your DH feels better soon ruby. Ooh peppermint tea - good reminder as star week is on it's way to me too.
Just got out of a 2 hour meeting (I was taking the minutes). I'd completely forgotten about it until a reminder popped up 15 minutes beforehand. Feel shattered. Managed to grab a banana half way through to sustain myself lol.
    Food today:
    B - Nimble WM toast with 2 tsp jam - HEXB/1 syn
L - tuna, light mayo, pickles, salad leaves, tomatoes - 2 syns
D - pork stir fry with noodles - will do mine separately as have A!di sauce sachets for the family. Will use soy sauce, garlic and ginger for my portion  ;)
    Snacks - Banana(!), Apple, Satsuma
    HEXA1 - milk
    HEXA2 - mini babybel light
    Total syns - 3
    Have a good day all,
    Coxy

Which jars are 6 syns bubbs?  Most of them are much more than that which is why I usually make my own sauce which is only the syns for a bit of cornflour!  If I can find one that's that low it would be handy to have in the cupboard for CBA days or when I'm short of time.

Thanks bubbs.  I've not actually seen the no added sugar jars in my local Mr Ts.  Will have to look out for that one - it would be brilliant to take away in the motorhome.

That's good to know bubbs. My DH loves sweet and sour and I've never managed to get a HM sauce exactly right.  Allegedly it's on offer in Sainsbury's. I'll look tomorrow. 😊

I do hope you don't get too many side effects from the vaccine. It seems to vary from person to person and depending on which vaccine you have. Mostly it's just a day or so though.

I went out this afternoon, mainly because I wanted petrol and  was down to the last jar of beetroot!  All sorted now. 😉 It's still 65p for a large jar in Home Bargains but stock (of many things) was low.
