I want some of that quiche NOW!! They look amazing! 😋😋😋

Seriously bubbs, have you ever cooked professionally? 🤔
    Nope i haven't i just love food 🤣🤣
I think that's been a problem for all of us and why we're here!  But seriously maman is right your food always looks very professional and really nicely presented.  Mine ends up a bit thrown on the plate, lol!

More washing in the machine this morning and will be going out on the line as looks as though we're not going to get any rain during the day so with a bit of luck should dry on the line.

    Today's plan:

    B - overnight oats - P; S; F
    L - vegetable pilau with roasted butternut squash - S; F
D - KFC; corn on the cob; beans; chips - P; S; F (well it is Friday 😀)

    HEA - milk
    HEB - oats
Syns - couple of rum & ginger beer

Have a good day and keep safe everyone.

Thanks for all the quiche tips, I'll give some a go..

Weigh in day for me today and +1lb, which is understandable given my weekend, but it's shopping day today and I've done my meal plan for the week so hopefully it'll all make a difference for next week's weigh in.

    Food today:
    B: Scrambled eggs & mushrooms
    L: Soup & pitta
    T: Chilli, rice & salad
  • Morning all, hope  you are all doing well. I went off the rails 2 weeks ago, very badly, ate rubbish, comfort ate but couldn't understand why. Then discovered why when I woke up last Thursday morning and saw the state of my pillow! I had an abscess in my ear which I didn't realise, got a high pain threshold and was only aware of it for that brief moment when washing your ears in the shower. I was so embarrassed at the damage I knew I had done that I refused to get on the scales :(, I was also upset at the state of my lovely white Egyptian cotton pillow case! But at least I knew why I had gone off the rails.

Anyway, bit the bullet next morning to see what work needed to be done, and based on my very slow loss, how long it would take. 1/2 st :s:s:| Was chuffed to lose 6 of them pesky pounds this week, so hopefully this may kick start a slightly more generous weekly loss :)

Will try & catch up on reading over the weekend.  Have a good one everybody!

    Morning all,

I had my usual fruit and fibre for breakfast this morning, and I’m having this for lunch, 1 chicken breast, one stalk of celery, half a carrot grated, a small handful of pea shoots, one spring onion, 5 mini pickled onions, a small slice of red pepper, some cucumber, maybes a table spoon or sweetcorn and 2 boiled eggs?

nothing in between then there will be a gap until about 7 ish where will have a medium baked potato with a tin of tuna mixed with LF mayo. Served with a pinch of cheese on the baked potato. I will probably have a few salady bits again like a stalk of celery, a little bit cucumber, a couple of cocktail pickled onions. Do you think my lunch is too much? If I am hungry while the potato is cooking tonight my go to snack would be morrisons mini chicken skewers they are half a sin each.

    Hi everyone,
Agree that bubbs food always looks amazing. Won't get DH eating quiche here - it's 'not a proper meal' apparently. Maybe I could make some mini ones just for me.
GTQ - ouch to the poorly ear but well done on the losses.
klew - your food sounds great.
Weigh day for me and I've lost 1lb this week, and 3lb in total since the start of the year. Slow progress, but that's okay. 5.5lb until I'm in the next stone bracket and would love that before the end of May if possible.
    Food today:
    B - weetabix and skimmed milk HEXB/A
L - veg chilli, jacket pot (1), cheese HEXA
D - spanish chicken (another hairy dieters recipe). Syns for the chorizo will be 6.
    Snacks - apple, satsumas, banana
    Total syns 7
    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy

No way can your lunch be described as too much.  There's not much there at all.  I'd still be hungry with that.

What you're having for dinner tonight would be a lunch for me!  I often have a jacket potato with tuna mayo and a salad but more than just a stalk of celery, a bit cucumber and a couple of pickled onions!

If you look at my meal plans and the pictures bubbs posts you'll see we eat much more than that.

To be honest I'm never full after a bowl of cereal for breakfast and need to have at least some protein of some sort, quite often eggs as it's an easy protein to incorporate into a breakfast.  Don't tend to have much speed at breakfast although do have some when we have a fry up.

My first Slimming World consultant used to always say 'eat for need, not for greed' and if that lunch fills you up then it's not too much.

The wonderful thing about Slimming World (I think) is that there isn't the same fear attached to amounts of food or types of food to eat.

    Morning all
klew i would be starving if i just ate that!!
Coxy it's not for a main meal, it's for dh's pack up, but he also has a filled roll, yoghurt, grapes and banana. If i have some it's a snack or with a massive plate of salad with chicken etc, if i gave that to dh for a main meal he would certainly say something!🤣🤣🤣

This is my breakfast today, syn free i won't get lunch as got a car full to drop off for homeless and need to go soon. Will take some fruit with me

Thank you every one I think I might start taking a picture or two to show you as my plate is full – I think because I am busy at work I don’t have time to be hungry then when say I am making my food on a night time that is the danger zone picking time. I may also have a freddo today or space raiders but it will be within my sins. Weigh in tomorrow

I find that's the best way forward Frankie. I think planning (and Speed) are the two most important things to make SW a success.😊 Shopping day for me too but I need to do my meal plan first.

That's a brilliant loss gtq. Well done you. Sorry about your ear (and your pillowcase), hope you're feeling much better. 😊

Definitely not too much food klew, anyway if you don't want it all then it's snacky stuff that will keep.

I make the small muffins just for myself to snack on coxy  as my DH doesn't eat eggs. I've just got a small (6) muffin tin I bought in Home Bargains and I make them when the oven's on for something else as they don't take log to cook.  Well done on your loss, slow but steady. 😊

We're having KFC too today denise. I made up the coating yesterday as I find it easier to use a pack of  instant potato at a time. I was thinking about whether we have too many samey meals but except for KFC it's variations on a theme and even then we have different vegetables. We've taken to having Bolognese every week too but that's because of lockdown. Usually I put it on the plan but it stays in the freezer if we go out to eat.  Still not sure what to have for lunch. I'll write down a JP and see how I feel. Not a lot of choice in terms of fresh stuff at the moment.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), HEB toast, HEA1 milk, fried eggs (P), tomatoes (S)
L- JP (F) with cottage cheese (P and food of the devil according to bubbs 😉) and pickles (S)
D- Fake KFC (P), SW chips (F), creamy cabbage with HEA2, mushrooms, tomato, green stuff (S)
    Syns- weekend wine😋
