I'm re-thinking breakfast, I think I mention before that part of my issues with diet/weightloss have been that I've read too many things about too many ways and got confused and I think if I'm doing Slimming World properly, then I have to do it properly.

Can anyone give me some ideas of breakfasts that I can prepare the day before or batch cook or are easy grab & go type things.

I really don't enjoy cooking and the idea of have to cook 3 times a day doesn't appeal to me. It's why I batch cook so that I can do lots of cooking at once and get it out of the way!

Thanks @bubbs, that helps a lot.  Is there a recipe for the egg muffins anywhere? Not a fan of crustless quiche but all the others are great.

    Food for today:
L: Black bean quesadilla and veg soup
T: JP with beans & cheese and salad

@bubbs that breakfast looked amazing, i might do that for a meal one night. @ruby_eskimo
you are so right carbs are not the enemy - i often think they are. i do avoid bread entirely through the week. i find cereal fills me up more on a morning as i eat that at around 7am and then that's it until lunchtime which is 12. i know i could snack but i often don't have time. if i am busy i am not hungry anyway. sts the same is better than a gain @joedenise

STS is irritating denise but at least it's not a gain. It'll come good in the end. 😊
How annoying about the Boots scales bubbs.  Did you ask if they're planning to get them fixed? 🤔

Don't worry about the carbs at all klew. What matters is that you try for the third (or more ) Speed and cutting back on the rice and adding veg was a good idea. Personally I average the Speed across a day rather than per meal. You can always have some fruit in between meals  if you want to raise the Sped content.  I find having something like satsumas/easy peelers to hand is the least effort.

My easiest breakfast is Puffed Wheat Frankie. It's what I always have on WI days. It's so light you get loads for a HEB. If you don't want to have it in a bowl then you can snack on it like popcorn. If you don't like crustless quiche then you probably wont like egg muffins as they are like mini quiches, basically any Speed you fancy in a muffin tin topped up with beaten egg and baked.

I get around cooking 3 times a day by deliberately making extra for dinner and then having leftovers for lunch most days but it depends how much time you have in the mornings. Then there's batch cooking, of course, which means many dinners are super quick (like today😉).

I finished last week with 8 syns left over. I'm happy with that as If I can maintain during lockdown I'll be happy. 105 syns back in the bank today. 😁

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, banana (F), HEB porridge with HEA1 milk, raspberries (S)
L- JP (F) with veggie chilli (P,S), cottage cheese (P) and pickles (S)
D- SW Bolognese (P,S) with tagliatelle (F) and HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns- 0

    Hi everyone,
I have a couple of days off work so took advantage of a later get up today. Just been down to !celand to get some SW sausages and they have had a power cut so were shut. Popped into $ainsbobs instead and got the LM Rosemary and Red Onion ones, plus some kale and smoked haddock for tonight's tea. Also picked up some A!pen light bars - wanted the strawberry ones but sold out, so got choc ones. Hope they don't taste too fake - will try one later.
Sorry you're not happy with STS denise, frustrating for you.
    Food today:
B - toasted ham WM pita (HEXB), microwaved poached egg, baked beans
L - cottage cheese with leaves and pickles
D - hairy dieters cod, haddock and prawn gratin - divided between 5 of us it's 3 syns each. Will have it with kale.
Snacks - Apple, mini babybel light (HEXA1), A!pen light bar (3)
    Syns - 6
    HEXA2 - milk for tea/coffee
Please can someone confirm the syns for the LM sausages when they have a moment? Thank you so much xx
    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy

The STS was my own fault - I had plenty of syns left and then DH decided to open a bottle of wine and then another so obviously used more than I'd intended.  I really must stick to plan properly this week as I need to send my weight to the new consultant next Thursday otherwise I'm going to lose access to the website - would really like a lb loss next week so that when I send my weight it'll be an STS!  If I don't lose then it will be a gain over the 7 weeks but I suppose a lb on over that period of time isn't that bad!

The Linda McCartney Rosemary and Red Onion sausages are Free Coxy.  The vegetarian ones are 0.5 syn each.

I bought a pack of the Lidl 95% pork sausages when we went shopping but I won't be eating them!  Scanned the pack when we got home and they are 6.5 syns each!  So DH will be eating those.  I'll have bacon on one day and Linda McCartney Rosemary and Red Onion sausages the other at the weekend!  They had some skinny sausages but they were tiny but I checked the syns for those and they're only 0.5 each so will buy a pack of those to try next time we go down there.

Sorry coxy, I was joking. I've always spelled it pitta bread. PITA means something completely different to me. 😉

You're right denise. A 1lb gain over 7 weeks is excellent. I think we're all doing brilliantly when you consider how many people are saying how much they've been snacking and drinking loads more in the past year. If anything it's been easier for me as I don't have to constantly juggle syns for meals out. At home, I'm far more in control. Like you, I have a birthday next month and it doesn't look like restaurants will be open by then  so I'm promising myself a fish supper or some other take away. It's on a Friday so drinks are covered. 😉

You have to be so careful with sausages. Thank goodness you checked the syns before eating any. When we have all day breakfasts out I always trade my sausage for DH's egg.
