Clearly I should have gone to Spec$avers as the walnuts were in fact pecans. I was allowed 11 halves. Yummy.
Your food looks amazing as always bubbs  :)

I like the look of the prawn cocktail bubbs. I didn't know you liked prawns. 🤔 I've got prawns and mayo and yogurt in, just need to buy some leaves. 😋

Can't beat a prawn cocktail - I just don't add the tomato sauce to it the Marie Sauce; it's too sweet for me. I'm quite happy with a bit of LTL mayo with the prawns.

Just wanted to say the lamb tagine was absolutely gorgeous.  Cooked it for about 3 hours in the end, even though the recipe I used said 2-2.5 hours.  The lamb was so tender, much better than usual.

Yes have had them loads before and posted pics 🤣 can't have them too often though as they are high in cholesterol so need to be careful

    Good morning,

I feel like this week is not going well! I made chicken fried rice last night for a change slimming world version. As I was making it decided to use less rice and added in peppers and mushrooms as not much speed about it. It just felt like quite a stodgy comforting meal rather than a slimming world one if that makes sense. Anyway tonight im back on the pork steak with spring greens, carrots and peas. Might swerve the potato entirely. lunch is a tuna salad.

Morning all, weather looks promising this morning as it's quite bright and a bit windy - would be a lovely morning to get washing dry but haven't got any!

WI this morning for me and it was a STS.  A bit disappointing as when I jumped on the scales on Monday I'd had a small loss but it seems to have gone back on!  Probably the wine last night!

Need to go shopping today as my list has really grown over the last couple of days with things running out or nearly running out so need replacing!

Well done klew on adding the peppers and mushrooms to your chicken fried rice, extra speed always helps.

    Today's plan:

    B - egg and bacon muffin - HEB; P
    L - onion soup - S; F
    D - Barnsley chop, mash, veg - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - WM muffin
    Syns - none planned

Have a good day and stay safe everyone.

Morning all!  Love a good prawn cocktail bubbs - might have to try and track down some decent prawns at the weekend.  I think when I said processed food maman, I meant the takeaways and the chocolate / cake that may creep in at the weekends sometimes.  I usually try to not snack too much but when I've been stressed, I seem to comfort eat and I want to try and break that cycle over the next few weeks.  Sounds like a lovely meal last night klew, sometimes you just need a bit more stodge and carbs are definitely not the enemy on SW.

Well day 1 of my lent challenge was a success - managed to workout, drink well over 2 litres of water and remembered to take my vitamins last night.  Have managed to workout again this morning and will also try and do some yoga this evening as I need to try and get back into building up my mobility.  Had a couple of leftover Linda M red onion and rosemary sausages in a sandwich for breakfast this morning and will be having leftover homity pie for lunch.  Dinner tonight is the leftover curry I was going to have on Tuesday before I remembered pancakes and I'll probably make some mushroom rice to go with it.

Last working day for me this week, can't wait for lie in tomorrow!  Hope you're all having a good day and stay safe and warm.
