It was lovely and 59p a packet from farmfoods 😋😋
Are those the offcuts? I always find that they don't keep once opened. How much in a pack? 🤔

    Evening,
Sorry I've been AWOL.  I thought I had posted yesterday lunchtime... I definitely typed one at work, but I don't think I hit submit, so lost now.

Hope you're feeling better soon Ruby

    Bubbs
I cannot fathom why you aren't losing at the mo.  Your meals always look incredibly high in speed, little in the way of syns, and virtually carb free.  Cannot make any sense of it.  Has anything changed at all in recent months, even if you don't think it might be connected, for example you are always on the go, but was your activity a different type before?  Just clutching at any straws for you.  You're so good at the plan I think it will all come good in the end.

Well I have a surprising 1lb loss this week, but I feel it is undeserved as my meal plans have been all over the place.  I'll take it nonetheless, and makes up for the gain last week.

    Today's plan:
B - porridge HEB, water, skinny syrup, cinnamon & spoon of elmea (3) - I'm really enoying this, and it feels super luxurious
L - chicken, mixed salad with lettuce, carrot, red cabbage, tomato and cucumber, dressing (2)
snack - chocolate swiss roll cake - no idea on syns but let's just agree it blew the budget, but it was for a celebration at work as a colleague left after 40 years service
D - chicken thighs, SW chips, ketchup (2) pickled onions
    HEA milk in tea/coffee

I've got a bolognese sauce simmering on the stove in readiness for dinner tomorrow night.  If it thickens up nicely it'll be a lasagne, but if it's too 'runny' it will be bolognese with pasta instead.  It's packed with veggies and that's when I find the sauces can sometimes be more 'saucy' than a good lasagne needs.  Trying to save myself time and effort for the next couple of day's meals though.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

Morning all, not sure if I feel guilty or not but I actually had 2 pork steaks last night with the cabbage carrots and sweetcorn. They were tiny and I was hungry. There was still more colour on my plate tbh. Today is another salad as described yesterday for lunch. Tonight I feel like chicken fried rice and crispy kale then I can have the leftovers tomorrow after a long walk with a friend. Had a longer walk last night too. Didn’t sleep great and hope the iron tablets start working here magic soon.

Morning all!  Agree that the food looks good bubbs, as always!  Especially those pancakes 🤤  Well done on the loss sary, I'd take that over the gains any day!

Thanks for the well wishes everyone, feel loads better today, even managed to do a light workout this morning with lots of stretches.  Hands are still playing up so typing is going to be fun today but I have a lot of "research" type things I can do so not a lot of typing involved.  Forgot it was pancake day yesterday so the curry I planned on having went back into the fridge and I'll have that tomorrow instead.  Made fluffy american style pancakes for us - DH had quite a few and I'm not even feeling bad about the few I had.  Have decided that for Lent, rather than give something up, I'm going to commit to 40 days of doing some kind of exercise / movement each day, drink my water, take my vitamins and eat as much whole food (i.e. not processed rubbish) as possible.  I know I feel better when I do all these things so hoping I can stick to it for the whole of Lent and not go overboard when the easter eggs appear 😂

Breakfast was weetabix with skimmed milk and strawberries for a change, lunch is going to be roasted vegetable and chick pea cous cous and dinner tonight is Homity pie with Linda M's red onion and rosemary sausages.

Hope everyone is staying safe and has a good day.

Well done liz on your first loss.  Now you know what you're doing a bit better you should start to see regular losses hopefully.

Looks like it's been raining overnight again but dry and windy at the moment.  Think I'm going to do a wash and risk hanging it out.  Don't think it's forecast to rain until late this afternoon/early evening but we will see!

    Today's plan:

B - breakfast hash - fried up potato, onion, mushrooms topped with a couple of eggs - P; S; F
    L - Welsh rarebit - cheese; egg; mustard powder; Worcester sauce - HEA2; HEB; P; F
D - lamb tagine; herb couscous - lamb; spices; onions; tomatoes; preserved lemons; apricots; honey; almonds; couscous; herbs - P; S; F; 8

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - honey 1; apricots 3; almonds 4

Have a good day everyone and keep safe.

    Morning all
    Well done Liz 😁
Nice dippy eggs for breakfast, sun is out here so going outside in a minute

I took some prawns out the freezer last night for lunch so think i am going to have them on a jacket and having fajita's for tea.
I was supposed to be at the hospital tonight at 6.50! the appointment came through on my phone on Monday,  but didn't know why as was there last week, but after ringing Monday and yesterday and getting no answers, finally got through this morning and not got to go, some right confusion gone on , it was for what i had last week 😏 but all sorted now 😁

Sometimes it seems that the left hand doesn't know what the right hand's doing!  Glad you got it sorted.  Have you got results from last week yet?

I love dippy eggs with asparagus; not that that for ages but will definitely have that again once asparagus is back in season, so May/June assuming the weather hasn't mucked up the growing season too much!

Was going to go shopping this morning because I've only got enough bread for lunch today (DH will have to have a crust as there is only 3 slices of actual bread!) so had to change breakfast for tomorrow - changed the bread for muffins - not had those for a while either so that will make a nice change.
