Sorry no other ideas! It's obviously worked for you to lose what you have. Could it be because you're not as active as you were before Covid although you still seem to be running around like a headless chicken at times, LOL?

oh no Bubbs sorry to hear this. How frustrating. Agree with others that your meals always look lovely - so much speed too. Do you have any of the SW recipe books to maybe try something new? We like the chicken, kale and potato bake, or cowboy hotpot. Nice warming meals and fairly easy to do.I will probably be joining you with a gain after that flipping mashed bananaCross-stitch WIP: HSC Jingle Bells Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 09/25 Currently reading The Vows of Silence by Susan Hill0

sorry you are having a hard time @bubbs.
The only thing I can suggest is that when I started plateauing around the 2.25 stone mark the only way I could get the weight shifting again was by changing my meal plan entirely.
Would you consider having a sort of lunch what like I am having today? Which is pea shoots, pickled onions (small cocktail ones), spring onions, sweetcorn, cucumber, grated carrot and celery. I kind of mix it all together and serve with 1no boiled egg and either a small bit of chicken breast or tuna mixed with chives and nat FF yog/ mayo mix.
I had fruit and fibre with milk for breakfast and tonight I am having cabbage, carrots, peas and turnip with chicken or gammon steak. Maybe totally mixing it up is what you need? I am no expert but eating like today really kicks me into a good week. I have syns to spare so I might have a freddo or something for a chocolate hit.
Later in the week I will be having chicken curry with crispy kale and rice. The rice I use is one portion boil in the bag but im just going to have 2/3 of the bag and bulk on the kale.

hello, sorry yesterday was manic, so manic i didn't manage any breakfast!!
yesterdays meals:
So B - 2 coffees with coffee mate (1 syn x2)
L - ham cheese and mushroom omlette sandwich using my homemade HEB bread, tomatoes and spinach and siracha (can't find the syns but guessed at 1 per tablespoon like ketchup and i only have a drizzle so counting half a syn)
D - homemade pork fillet ramen with tons of speed and a boiled egg, this was incredible and filling and free! and the kids loved it!
S - Options hot choc x 2
Todays plan:
going to try and resist the kids delicious fully blueberry pancakes and have some greek yog with berries
L - big salad with boiled eggs, ham and maybe some boiled potatoes
Dinner is planned to be masala dosa! the fillings are all slimming world friendly the way i make them but does anyone know whether i need to syn the rice and lentils that make the batter? there's no flour, its soaked and fermented rice and lentils blended up into a batter....0 -
Not certain about the dosa liz but I would say SW would consider it a tweak as you will be blending the rice and lentils into a batter. To be on the safe side I would syn it at 4.5 syns per 25g as if it was flour.
Morning all, have taken a chance and put a machine load of jumpers on the line this morning. It's quite windy so hopefully they'll dry before it rains - it's very grey so wouldn't be surprised to get some!
Today's plan:
B - kedgeree with home smoked haddock - P; S; F
L - Linda McCartney red onion and rosemary sausage & onion sandwich - HEB; S; F; 3.5
D - Sloppy Joes, jacket potato, veg - HEA2; P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - 3.5
Have a good day and keep safe everyone.

Morning All
My heating was finally fixed and up and running by yesterday afternoon, so 3.5 days with no heatingWhich meant staying in bed to keep warm and eating snacks and takeaways cause I couldn't face being out of bed for longer than I needed to be. It was miserable! I was miserable! I'm glad it's over!
Anyway, today I'll be doing a bit of batch cooking - bolognaise, chilli, sweetcorn chilli and getting my head back in the game.
Could someone please tell me what the syns are for Aldi tortilla wraps and pitta bread? The large and the small? And if they could be used as a HEB?
Someone mentioned breakfast and I may get in some yoghurt and frozen blueberries for days that I can't make it til lunch time and see how I go.0 -
Glad your heating is fixed FrankieM - don't blame you on the comfort eating.
Today's meals:
B: 2 satsumas so far. Will have 2 weetabix in a while.
L: cottage cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles
S: A Tom Kerridge recipe - Chicken with tomato, mascarpone and basil. This requires 125g of mascarpone and unfortunately I could only get standard in A!di, so believe it's 5 syns for 25g (please can someone correct me if that's not right). All other ingredients are fine as I'll swop out olive oil for fry light. Will serve with baby potatoes and green beans.
Snacks - apple, banana, 2 babybel light
HEA - milk, babybel light
HEB - weetabix
Syns - 5
Have a good day everyone,

Morning all! Sorry to hear about your gain bubbs, I'm also over a stone heavier than my lightest (and that wasn't even my target weight 🙄) but I'm trying to focus on non-scale things because the scale can be fickle. I may weigh more but I'm still able to wear most of the same clothes I had 18 months ago - except for the jeans, those things are a little tight. Try not to beat yourself up too much - if you're arthritis is anything like mine, then the swelling alone will add some weight (today my hands are so puffy I can't get my wedding ring on but yesterday it was a little loose).
Glad to hear the heating's been fixed FrankieM! Not too sure on the tortilla's but hopefully someone else will be along to help you out soon. I find yogurt and fruit isn't enough for me for breakfast, I need to have something else with it, like weetabix, oats, or a couple of boiled eggs on the side.
Feeling a little under the weather today - swelling and in a little pain all over, and my breathing is playing up again so going to take it easy. Breakfast was weetabix with blueberries and skimmed milk, lunch is going to be chicken and mushroom soup and dinner is a random leftover curry from the freezer with some rice and probably some green beans on the side. Off to make another coffee, hope you're all keeping safe and warm!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Frankie - no wraps are HEB. Large ones are 9 syns and small ones are 4.5 syns each.
Pitta breads - the 63g wholemeal ones are HEB or 7.5 syns; 20g mini ones are 2.5 syns each; standard size are 8 syns and large ones are 11 syns.
Like ruby I don't find fruit and yoghurt enough for breakfast. It was my go to breakfast when I was working as it was easy to eat in the office but now that both DH and I are retired we tend to have some sort of cooked breakfast most mornings with just the occasional breakfast of something like cereal or porridge.
coxy - you're right the standard mascarpone is 5 syns per 25g.
ruby sorry to hear you are feeling a bit under the weather today. Hope you feel better soon.
