Glad you feel better after your night's sleep denise. 😊
Crackling is dangerous liz! I can't resist having some (cook's perks😉) but I try to cut it off and throw it in the bin ASAP. If others will eat tit then encourage them. The sooner it's gone the better. 😁
You'll soon get used to having a super fry up and making it SW friendly. If you wanted to keep your HEB for later in the day then try fried potatoes (free) to bulk it up. Tinned ones make life very easy. Even hash browns (depending on brand) can be quite low syn. What did you think of the SW sausages? 🤔
Last night's lasagne was a big success. DH loved it, it's something he often chooses in Italian restaurants. He's such a sweetie as I don't think I've made lasagne at home for 10 years! While he only loosely follows SW himself (mostly dinner and some breakfasts) he's been very supportive of me. 🥰 I'll make it again, maybe at the start of the 8 week window between WI.🤣 I did measure the milk which was 142 mls from the 300 I'm allowed for a HEA but I didn't measure the cheese. With 1 syn (each) of cornflour I'm happy it wasn't too synful.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk, raspberries (S)
L- JP (F), veggie chilli (P,S), salad stuff (S)
D- beef in 'red wine' (P), SW roast potatoes (F), many, many veg (S)😁
Syns- cornflour 1, weekend wine😋1 -
I love fried up tinned potatoes - in fact I think I prefer them to using LO potatoes! I make hash browns myself, they're quite easy as it's just grated potato, rinsed to remove some of the start and then mixed with grated onions. Make into "cakes" and then bake in the oven having sprayed the tin and the hash browns. You can make a batch of them and freeze as well although I don't bother as haven't really found freezing potato very successful.
I need to check when I need to weigh in again - think it's the last Thursday of the month but not certain. At the moment I'm just 0.5lb heavier than I was when I weighed last time so not too bad. Hopefully will lose a bit more before then!

Hi everyone,
Glad you're feeling better after the sleep Denise
Syns for last night's dinner was 7 - 100g of gnocci, single cream, whole grain mustard and cider. Had a cheeky dark rum and Pepsi max after (2.5)
Today's meals:
B poached egg, beans, mushrooms
L 4 dark rye ryvita (B), 25g light Philadelphia (A), 3 mini babybel light (A)
D roast turkey joint from A!di (2?), fry light roast pots, carrots, broccoli. Will have grapes for pudding and resist the cheesecake I'm currently defrosting. Bonus of having teens means nothing lasts around here
Just realised will need to syn my skimmed milk today.
Have a good day all,
Coxy

7 syns isn't too bad for all those ingredients coxy. You shouldn't have to syn your milk if you've only had the Babybel as we can have 2 x HEAs. Aldi do 2 frozen stuffed turkey breast joints. The 800g one is 24 syns and the 1400g one is 16 so it depends how much is your portion. I'm assuming most of the syns are in the stuffing. 🤔
Good that you have others can help with the synful puddings. 🤣1 -
Thanks - maman mistakenly put Philadelphia as my second A doh! The turkey joint is the 800g one - they were reduced after Christmas (MSE mods please note). Will have 1/5 and loads of veg - sprouts, carrots, courgette (lonely one needs using) and some SW roasties. Will avoid the cauliflower cheese and yorkshires
So syns today are the turkey (5), Philadelphia (2), small glass of white wine maybe

Morning all! Glad you're feeling better after a sleep denise, it's a good sign that you had a "reaction", means that your immune system is ready to fight off anything that it doesn't like. Will hopefully be having my second dose in 4 weeks time apparently.
Reporting a 2lb gain this week. I feel a little bloated after an indulgent dinner last night but other than that I feel a bit slimmer this week due to the exercise, so not worried too much and inclined to ignore the scales really as a blip. Haven't had breakfast this morning yet as not hungry, but lunch will be leftover noodles and stir fry from last night (which are syn free, the rest wasn't!) and dinner is LO lasagne from the freezer with some broccoli for me and a salad for DH.
Hope everyone is staying well and warm and safe.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20171
