Thanks for checking the syn value of the crisp breads . They are about A6 size and are lovely. I have been having them with HM soup (2 instead of bread). My goodness what a Wally! I have got dark rye ryvita so will use those instead or only have one crispbread from now on.
Lunch was grilled lean bacon, poached egg, beans, mushrooms and tomatoes. Just got back from a bracing 1.5hr walk with a friend. Was lovely to be out.
Not sure my metabolism could cope with 40 eggs a week Bubbs   :o

Thanks both.  Was expecting to have a heavy arm like after the flu jab but so far so good, no problems.

The Morries eggs are definitely cheaper your way bubbs!  They're £2 a dozen here but like you said they're quite small so I've given up buying them and buying a tray of large from my local farm shop - they work out at £2.85 for 30 eggs so not too bad.

I don't bother making crustless quiche very often as DH isn't keen!  We don't have omelettes very often for the same reason but he will eat one occasionally - he'd much rather have a full fry up!

He's going to smoke some more haddock over the weekend which will be used for kedgeree and some will be frozen for future meals - bought a bigger piece this week than last time.  The last fillet was only enough for a couple of kedgeree breakfasts.

Hope you don't suffer too much from side effects tomorrow denise. 🤔

I made the lasagne and just used 2 tbs (shared) of cornflour plus the cheese and milk, some of which will be set off in HEAs. I've long ago given up using the roux method for gravy so thought I'd try the same with the sauce. I made a paste of the cornflour with some water in a cup then added it to the milk and kept stirring while it heated up. Then I added the cheese. It's lovely and smooth. Hopefully it will taste good too. 😊

I have about 12 eggs a week. DH doesn't eat them at all. I do enjoy the egg muffins for snacking but haven't made them for ages.

You'll soon learn the syn values for the things you eat regularly coxy. Well done on the walk. 👏

Enjoy picky tea bubbs. If you haven't eaten it already. 🤣

Starting to feel a bit rough!  Think I'm going to have an early night and hopefully I'll feel better in the morning.  My arm doesn't ache or feel heavy but I definitely have a temperature and am a bit shivery.  Hopefully a good night's sleep will help but we'll see.

    Enjoy your ice cream bubbs.

    hello all,
didn't post yesterday but quite proud to say that i modified our normal saturday brunch bacon sausage egg sarnie for myself by swapping thick white bread for my homemade wholemeal (once sliced i weighed the slices and they are all pretty much exactly 28g so perfect for HEB!) and the sausages for iceland slimming world frozen and cut the fat off the bacon!
Dinner was homemade thai, made pad thai with prawns and tons of speed,  also thai red curry with light coconut milk, spicy beef kebabs and boiled rice, (might have had a couple of spicy prawn crackers) overall a good day on plan on a saturday!
going to do toast and jam for brekkie today with my homemade bread and then making roast pork dinner today, will make the roasties and veg fat free but can't guarantee I'll completely resist the crackling anyone have any idea how to syn crackling?

Morning all.  Had a really good night's sleep!  Went to bed at 8.30pm and didn't get up until 7.30 this morning!!!  Can't remember ever sleeping like that before.

Life's back to normal, machine load of washing done and out on the line.  Should dry as it's quite windy but it's absolutely freezing - had come in half way through hanging it out to warm up a bit because I couldn't feel my fingers!

Yesterday's plan looked good liz.  Well done on cutting the bread to size so you can use it as HEB, bet that took some doing!  Today's plan looks good too.  Unfortunately crackling is very high syn @ 7 syns per 25g, which is quite a small piece but have to admit I always have some!

    Today's plan:

B - fry up - bacon, egg, mushrooms, fried up LO mash, tomatoes, beans - P; S; F
    L - egg mayo salad sandwich - HEB; P; S;0.5
D - chicken in gravy, roast potatoes, roasted carrots, onions & peppers, green veg (probably cabbage & green beans/peas - P; S; F; 0.5 (chicken in gravy is LO from a Sunday dinner a while back which I froze)

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - LTL mayo 0.5; gravy 0.5 (I scrape off as much as I can as not keen on it!)

Have a good day everyone and keep warm and safe.
