Half term 🥳 was a struggle this week what with heavy snow Sunday into Monday so school only open to those with with both parents as key workers. Still teaching all week, mostly by myself as not many able to get in. I live close enough to walk but we have a 4x4 so hubby drove me in. Been rubbish food wise so fully expecting a gain!
We have been testing ourselves twice a week, think the nose swab is worse than the throat 🤢. All negative so far but a bubble had to shut today as a child tested positive. Nice start to the break for that class 😒.
Im off to sleep for a week (or until the flipping dog gets me up 🥴). Night all 😴

That's not good TIE.  Try and get some rest.  I wouldn't worry about not sticking to plan this week, it is what it is, you can't change the past, concentrate on the future.

Need to pop into a shop when we go to the Dr's but will go into the little shop rather than the chemist or SM as need to get some shower gel - run out this morning and didn't realise we haven't got a spare in the cupboard.  Really annoying as have spares of shampoo and conditioner but still have plenty of those left!

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - sausages, egg, mushrooms, beans - P; S; F; 2
L - Ryvita; Primula Light; prawns; smoked salmon; mixed leaves; lime, ginger & honey dressing - part HEA2/part HEB; P; S; 0.5
    D - beef stew; mash - P; S; F
    S - Ryvita; Primula Light - part HEA2/part HEB

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - Primula Light
    HEB - Ryvita
    Syns - sausages 2; honey 0.5

WI not as bad as you expected TIE, well done!  Chocolate fudge cake sounds lovely!

Just got back from having my jab, absolutely froze waiting to go in!  Got there about 5 minutes early and there was a long queue and it took nearly 20 minutes just to get in and then had to wait inside for about 10 minutes before going in for the jab which was over in done with very quickly - didn't have to wait after either which I was a bit surprised about as thought it was necessary to wait 15 minutes after but it seemed only if you had a reaction you needed to.

Finally got some post today - not had any for nearly 2 weeks and been expecting a few letters which I'd normally of had last week.  Actually got letter from NHS asking us to set up appointments if we hadn't already done so, so looks like the GP is getting through people a bit quicker than NHS expecting.

Glad you got your jab Denise but brrr to having to queue.
I have been to A!di and topped up the F&V. Also got 3 dozen eggs as all three teens are eating me out of house and home.
Thank you to whoever it was that posted the fatgirlskinny list of A!di foods. I got the slimwell paella and the tikka masala to try. I also got cottage cheese - good tip thank you maman (I think?).
Tonight I'm doing pork medallions with gnocchi - it's a N!gella recipe. Will dry griddle fry the lean medallions, then deglaze the pan with some cider (measured and synned) add wholegrain mustard and a little single cream (synned) then chuck in the cooked gnocchi (synned). Will serve with fine green beans.
Does anyone know the syn value of A!di spelt and museli crispbreads (from the Foodie Market range) please? They are apparently 'high in fibre' so I'm hoping not too many syns.
    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy

Not bad getting STS tie. Take care of yourself and enjoy your half term. 😊

The bad news coxy is that those crispbreads are 5 syns each!  No idea why. I just hope they're worth it.🤔
Your dinner sounds delicious. Let us know how many syns it works out at.

I'm making cheese sauce later and I was thinking why is it that we save syns happily, and that works,  but it's an absolute no-no to carry over HEXs.🤔 I know there will be syns for the cornflour and a bit of spread but the cheese and milk are the main ingredients??  I think I'll just put 3 syns down and then hope for the best with the HEXs. I'm not weighing this week and it's only one meal so it will work out OK longer term.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), HEB toast, HEA1 milk, scrambled eggs (P)
    L- JP (F), LO sausage casserole (P,S,F), beetroot (S)
    D- HM lasagne (P,S,F), salad (S), raspberries (S) and yogurt (P?)
Syns- HP sauce 1, cheese sauce 3 + HEXs, light mayo 2, weekend wine😁

Just checked the syns for the Aldi crisp breads Coxy and unfortunately they are 5 syns each (25g) - 150g pack.  Are they really 25g each?  Seems very heavy for a crisp bread.  Don't forget to share the syns for our dinner between however many portions it makes!

I usually buy just the normal rye crisp breads from Lidl because they count has HEB the same as Ryvita; 1.5 syns each or 4 for HEB.  The Aldi Rye crisp breads are the same so probably worth looking for those next time you need some.

I buy 30 large eggs most weeks for just 2 of us.  I suspect bubbs gets through even more as she often keeps hard boiled eggs in the fridge - I think she said she cooks half a dozen at a time some time ago!

    Afternoon all 😁

It's bladdy freezing!! but i have got my first 2 wash loads of the year dry on the line.......go me 🤣 I know Denise has had some out already though
I buy about 45 eggs a week 😱 but saying that they are quite small, in morrisons they sell 15 free range for £1.20 and they are really yellow yolks. I have not done that with the boiled eggs for a while. But if i make a crustless quiche with these eggs its usually about 10😱 omelette 4 eggs, sweet omelette   4 eggs, egg wraps,  they soon add up, dh has the crustless quiche but apart from that only 3/4 a week.
Today i am hungry! i have had egg wraps with sausage , mushroom and beans in, 3 toms on the side, an apple, banana and just make a cuppa and dh said what you eating now😂 i said cherry toms.
He said think we will have to have tea early, so going to put the oven on in a min, it takes about an hr. of course it's picky tea 😋😋
