ooh i do already have a wholemeal starter so will see what i can make but that will defo be a one slice only job! i have a meat slicer so will have an experiment and see if i can come up with a 2 slice HEB loaf!  the toasted oats were ok but i missed the proper crunch you get from syrup, i think i'll make a batch of oil free granola and write down the recipe so i can work out how many syns per 40g of oats it is.... i use pureed apple instead of syrup which must be better....

Probably lizbob but pureed apple needs to be synned - It's 1.5 syns per 100g so yes it's lower syns as syrup is 2.5 syns per Tbs or 4.5 for 25g.  Have a look at www.slimmingeats.com website; she has some granola recipes on there but tends to use maple syrup for sweetness some of them are HEB + syns.  I use quite a few of her recipes - they don't all work for me but most do!

milann - well done on not beating yourself up over the snacking and deciding to just go with the syn bank for the week, you know it can work as some of us on here do it regularly.

Quickly popping on to tell you I GOT THE JOB!!

Got a call just after 1pm, and am just going back to work after my lunch break to hand in my notice. This will be very satisfying 😊

wasn’t expecting to hear until Friday, so a nice surprise.

    Will post again later

Wow!  well done sary.  I can just imagine your bosses face when you hand in your notice!

Will you be able to work from home with the new job or will you have to go in as you do at the moment?

Nearly forgot why I popped back, LOL!  Just to add I will be using a whole syn for dinner as forgot my recipe includes some breadcrumbs, found some in the freezer so they're out defrosting ready to make the loaf later.

congratulations @sarymclary !! I once handed my notice in and the MD asked me to go back in the afternoon to see him while he digested the information. They ended up asking me to stay which was a definite no and I have been at my new job seven years now!

A better day food wide I just had the leftover pasta for mylunch from last night which had plenty speed in. tonight is LF sausages, onions, mushrooms, baked potato and possibly peas and carrots. Might involve gravy.

I have had to change the meal plan slightly but should be still on target even with yesterdays mishap!

I think we're doing so well to stay as close as we can to plan during lockdown. More importantly, when we do have a 'blip' into comfort eating is that we draw that line and get back to it as soon as possible. I was reading a very worrying article in today's paper about  the need to tackle obesity. Apparently except for the over 70s, most people who have died from Covid are obese, sometimes whole families. 😟

I went out today to get a few bits I needed to do some batch cooking tomorrow. I had to go to 4 shops before I could find a red cabbage! It wasn't all wasted effort though as I got some YS haddock and a dozen YS roses as a (syn free😉) treat to myself!  😁

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), HEB toast, HEA milk, fried egg (P), tomatoes, mushrooms (S)
    L- beef stew (P,S,F)
    D- chicken casserole (P,S, F) with butterbeans (P) and green stuff (S)
    Syns- cornflour 1

I need to look it up but I think I'll have a couple of syns over at the end of the day so not too much damage done by last Saturday's dauphinoise potatoes. The coming week will be much the same because of planned Valentine's meal. I'm actually feeling a bit thinner so something's working. 😉
