Good luck for the interview tomorrow sary.  You can only give it your best shot - they must have been impressed by your application to have got an interview so you've got just as much chance as the other people who have applied.

Thanks Denise and Sary, but forgot to say it was just for an xray- this will be the 3rd and also had an ultra sound on it, why they want another i don't know 🙄

I have had lunch, will post a pic in a min, well i had it about 11.15 as i was hungry 😂 also had some melon. I have made the elusive cottage pie, once it's cooled i will put in the fridge for tomorrow, now we have liver, onions and sausage tonight 😁

bubbs I suspect they want to see how much change there has been to decide how soon they need to see you.  The more there's been the sooner they'll arrange an appointment.

There looks to be masses of sauce in that chicken BBQ meal, far more than I would want.  I assume it wasn't worth the 1 syn then!

At least the hospital appointment means progress and you're not forgotten bubbs. 😊 Thanks for road testing the BBQ chicken. I'll stick to the curry. 😉

Good luck with  the interview sary. It's good practice anyway but difficult if you're up against an internal candidate.😊

Welcome liz.  Some HM bread can count as a HEB but it would have to be wholemeal I think. 🤔

We had a very light dusting of snow overnight  but it's gone now. DH has gone to a family funeral (4 hour round trip) so hoping he'll not meet any bad weather. We're having Bolognese tonight so I can turn it round quickly whenever he gets back. I think I'm going to use all the chilli for lunches as this batch is really hot compared with usual. I think my hand must have slipped with the spices!🤣 DH would eat it but I know he wouldn't enjoy it.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAs grapefruit squash (F), scrambled eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA1 milk
    L- JP (F), veggie chilli (P,S), pickles (S)
    D- SW Bolognese (P,S0, pasta (F), HEA2 Parmesan

lizbob - Yes all flour needs to be synned.  Cornflour is 4.5 syns per 25g so you will need to work out how much you used to make each of them.  Ready made tortillas (40g) are 6 or 6.5 depending on brand.

Glad you've got your appointment bubbs even if it does interfere with your tea🤣.

damn, i missed that - i'm following a bloggers plan as i don't have a group...thought i'd sussed most things but that's good to know, i guess cos flours processed... tomorrow i'll use a slice of wholemeal bread as it can be a healthy extra..

2 slices from a 400g loaf or just one slice from 800g loaf for most wholemeal breads are HEB but Morrisons own brand wholemeal medium sliced and Neville's wholemeal 800g are both 2 slices from 800g loaf as HEB; the Neville's bread is from Tesco.

The only way you can use flour without synning is if you grind 40g of porridge oats and use it as HEB - the reason for this is because it's a measured amount of oats.

    Hope that all makes sense.

Have you never been to a group liz, or is it just now during lockdown? If you've never been then look at the sample menu on the Slimming World site for ideas  and we can find you other advice on old threads. Let us know. 😊

This is the first post copied  from an old thread. Let us know if there's anything that doesn't make sense to you:

Slimming World and Food Optimising is a plan for life, it's not a quick fix and you should look at weight losses over a period of time. There are no prizes for speed of weight loss.

You need to commit to making changes to the food that you buy and how you cook it, because what you've been doing in the past hasn't got you to where you want to be.

You can't use parts of the plan that suit you and forget the rest.

If you are not prepared to make a commitment to change the behaviour that has got you into your current situation then nothing is going to change, and above all things, you need to be honest and accountable for every single mouthful of food that passes your lips.

You need to care enough to take time out to pre-plan your slimming campaign. Look again at the menu plans and see the variety and volume of food you can eat. All you have to lose is the weight.

Slimming World has been successfully helping people lose weight for over forty years, so trust them and read your Food Optimising books again and again.

Food Optimising is easy but life isn't. Losing weight is a battle but you have the battle plan in your food optimising book, your secret weapon is free food, and that, together with your healthy extras and syns add up to a healthy way of eating that can (and should) be a life plan. Success is there waiting for you, go for it!

If you fancy having a go at EE, here are the official 'rules' to ensure that you not only lose weight regularly but get all the nutrition your body needs to function well:-

    Extra Easy:

    1: Choose your Free Food

Most of the food you eat should come from the free foods list; so that's pasta, rice, potatoes, lean meat, poultry, fish, fruit and vegetables.

And for super-fast, super healthy results, fill one third of your plate with Speed Foods!

    2: Choose your Healthy Extras

Each day select one Healthy Extra choice and one Healthy Extra choice from our simplified list of calcium and fibre-filled foods, including milk, cheese, bread, nuts and cereal.

3: Enjoy 5-15 Syns each day

If you find your weight loss has slowed down or stopped, check:-

    1. Whether everything you're counting as Free, is Free

    2. Whether you're under-estimating Syn values (over-estimate if guessing)

    3. Whether you're counting everything that should be counted

    4. Whether you're measuring everything that should be measured

    5. Whether you're sabotaging your success in any other way (using SAS logs will help uncover individual long-term self-sabotage patterns) and, if none of these is the culprit, either...........

A: increase the proportion of Speed Foods to half of your plate
B: switch to more Speed Foods

    or

C: try Extra Easy SP - details are on this link -
    https://www.minimins.com/threads/extra-easy-sp-plan.348340/

And above all, if you follow the plan, any plan, 100% you will lose weight!

Remember we are all here to support each other, and to have fun, and to share in any little disappointments & of course our victories~~be they boy on the scales or NSV's
