Morning all
Thanks Milann, i just don't know, will keep plodding, longs i don't gain anymore 😫
TIE, that's awful , hope you soon get a break!
Denise, no we don't have any snow or rain, although it lobbed it down last night, but it is very windy this morning but the sun is out
I have had 3 cuppa's so far this morning and going to have bacon, bean and mushrooom egg wraps as enjoyed them yesterday will make sure the picture takes today, went to post it yesterday and it wasn't there 🙄

I forgot to add yorkies for my dinner so that will be another couple of syns for the flour but I'm OK with that as not having many today for damage limitation as too many again yesterday as DH opened a bottle of wine so that was another 15 on top of what I'd already planned plus I'd already had a rum & ginger beer! Totted up my syns since Thursday and I'll only be 0.5 syns over where I need to be to be after 4 days!
The snow has decided to settle on flatish surfaces like the table and chairs and my plastic garden cupboard where my freezer is but not settling on the ground. Just glad I don't need to go out as the wind is really cold. Our local forecast says it's 0 degrees but with wind chill factor it's -7 degrees, brrr!

No snow here at all but it is forecast for later. I'll be surprised if it happens but not planning on setting foot outside anyway! 😉
We're having roast pork today too bubbs (which reminds me I'll have to step outside briefly to pick some bay leaves! 🤣). I'm using the last of my braised red cabbage and swede mash from the freezer today so need to make some more during the week.
We enjoyed the gammon steaks last night. I don't think I've bought any for years. DH often orders gammon steak on pub menus so I'll do it again. Made an easy meal.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), fried eggs (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- JP (F), veggie chilli (P,S), cottage cheese (P), pickles (S)
D- JO roast pork (P,S), SW roast potatoes (F), carrots, swede, cauli, broccoli, cabbages (red and green) (S)
Syns- gravy 4, weekend wine😊1 -

It’s tried to snow here but not amounted to anything. We weren’t forecast any. The sky is very grey so I wouldn’t be surprised if we see more.
Today ive had
brunch.....bacon, beans, egg and 1 sausage. The jury is out what to syn my sausage as. It’s a butchers sausage and not fat whatsoever comes out of them. I’ve been sunning 2 syns but when I asked at sw yesterday - everyone else avoids them and has others which I’ve tried and don’t like. If I’m having a sausage I’d rather have the real thing 😉
tea- going to relative who will make risotto. It’s a bit out of my control but won’t have too many syns as they use frilight. I’ll class the Parmesan as my hea.I made the filo lemon curd tarts form the webpage but the pastry hasn’t stuck together. We will have a deconstructed tart 😂😂😂 I think the pastry needed real butter instead of fry light. 3 syns each.January spends - £587.580 -
milann if your butcher's sausages don't have fat coming out when you cook them then I would syn them as low fat sausage which are 1 each - that's what I syn my butcher's sausages as. Ask your butcher if he uses any cereal in the sausages when he makes them as that is what would up the syn value! My butcher uses egg to bind so thus low fat and no cereal.
I've used filo pastry and just used water between the layers and that worked but if you wanted to use butter then a tsp melted for about 20 secs in the microwave goes quite a long way! That's what I use when I do corn on the cob so that I get it buttered for the black pepper to stick and it's only a couple of syns.
