Morning all. The weather's lovely this morning and I've made the most of it by getting the washing out on the line to dry. It dried yesterday by lunchtime - in fact I was in the middle of lunch when it started to rain so had to run out and get it (glad it was a cold lunch!).
Last night's biryani was the best I've made so far, even DH said it was even better than any of the ones he had when we were on holiday in Goa - I think that is the first time he's ever said anything like that about my cooking! I made enough of the spiced veg mix for another 2 meals which has gone in the freezer. Biryani will definitely be on the menu again!
As the forecast is bad for the weekend and with living on an unmade road decided to pop out to Morries and the farm shop to pick up a few bits so we don't need to go out early next week as originally planned.
Today's plan:
B - overnight oats - HEB; P; S
L - leek and barley soup - P; S; F
D - pan seared scallops and potatoes - P; S; F (new recipe from SW website) (No KFC tonight as I forgot to get chicken out of freezer so that'll be tomorrow instead!)
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge oats
Syns - none planned

It's been lovely here today too denise except for the odd shower. We had a walk this morning and I did my Aldi shop this afternoon. I think you're forecast for snow on Sunday but I'll be surprised if it comes as far south as us. We live on an unmade road too but it's quite gravelly so provides it's own gritted surface! 😊
Did you use the SW recipe for the biryani?
Vegetable biryani | Slimming World
I had a fried egg with my LO hash at lunchtime and it was delicious. It's something suggested in the recipe but as DH doesn't eat eggs I don't normally bother for myself. The hash seemed to have marinated too. Maybe I'll prepare it well in advance in future.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), kippers (P), HEB toast, HEA1 milk
L- LO corned beef hash (P,S,F), fried egg (P), veg and pickles (S)
D- Fake KFC (P), SW chips (F), carrots chips, green medley (asparagus, broccoli, mange tout), garlic mushrooms with HEA2 cheese (S)
Syns- kippers 1.5, Poets wine❤🍷1 -
maman No I make it up as I go along which makes it really difficult to do it the same every time! I used roughly the same amount of spice as in the SW recipe but that's about it!
I fried off an onion until soft, added the spices and cooked off until the rawness had gone from it. Added a tin of chopped tomatoes, a tin of green lentils, a tin of white haricot beans (brought back from France a couple of years ago! so thought I'd use them up in this and worked well), a load of frozen country veg mix (carrots, peas, green beans & sweetcorn kernels - just needed to break up the carrots and beans as they were quite big) then added a beef stockpot and cooked it all together until everything was cooked. I cooked the rice with a veg stock cube.
To serve I used a round, deep cereal bowl, lined with the rice, added the mixed veg mixture and then covered over with more rice then upturned onto the plate. Looked quite professional, certainly as good as we were served in Goa when we were there.
It's looking extremely likely we'll get snow on Sunday and even if we don't it's going to be very, very cold! Not looking forward to it though - I hate the cold!
Wish our road was gravelly, our is just mud at the moment with loads of potholes full of water which it's almost impossible to drive round. I certainly don't like walking on it, particularly walking down the hill because it's so slippery.
Enjoy your wine, we had some last night so probably won't tonight.

Shame about the scales bubbs., ☹️ i was thinking whether you might be on any new medication that's sabotaging you? 🤔
No, it's tie that I think is Norwich way. I'm in Hampshire, just opposite the Isle of Wight, so very south. 😊1 -

Ahh thought you had wishful thinking, no it didn't look like you was going to get it, looks like we are though 😥
Morning all
At the moment it is still really thick fog here, was cold when we got up about 8 as the pressure had dropped on the boiler so heating hadn't clicked in 🙄 all toasty now, 3 tea down and now gong for a shower

Morning all. Really hard to understand why you are putting on weight and not losing or at least STS! Your meals certainly look to be on plan; maybe it's a case of checking the syns of everything in case they've changed, as lots of things do!
We're forecast snow tomorrow but today isn't looking too bad at the moment, a bit cloudy but dry. I've even put the duvet cover out on the line! The sheet and pillow cases dried overnight on the airer but the cover wasn't quite dry so will leave it out as long as I can as it's forecast to rain around lunchtime!
Today's plan:
B - fry up - sausages; egg; beans; tomatoes; mushrooms - P; S; F; 2
L - Welsh rarebit - HEA2; HEB; P; F
D - roast beef dinner - beef; roast potatoes; roasted carrots, onions & peppers; cabbage; green beans; peas - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - sausages 2; not planned anything else but who knows?
Have a good day and keep safe.

Change of plan for lunch! I made a batch of hummus and some falafels this morning so we had a couple of Ryvita with hummus and coleslaw. Also have falafels hot from the oven which were lovely. Some more have gone into a tin to eat over the next couple of days as Syn Free snacks.
If I want something this evening I've still got 0.5 HEB and HEA2 to have!
Update to menu for today! I was thinking it was Sunday today rather than Saturday so dinner tonight is going to be KFC not roast beef - that's tomorrow!
