    Evening,
Bubbs you're in good company because it's STS for me too this week.

Some positive news about the chap who was injured, he is awake and speaking in hospital!  He has had an operation (we don't know what for) and may have to recover in hospital for some months, but he's alive, and doesn't seem to have been brain damaged from what we know.  OH says he woke up feeling better, and with the positive news I'm sure that has helped.

    Plan today:
B - porridge HEB, water, milk HEA1, skinny syrup
    L - chicken thigh, toast *6.5) spread (3)
D - spag bol, with onions, garlic, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, wholewheat pasta, grated cheese HEA2
snack - skinny whip bar (5)

Just within syns today, and I prefer to keep to about 12 maximum to leave any wiggle room.  Will plan better tomorrow.  Lunch was practically on the go even though I was at home for my lunch break, but I was putting washing on, prepping dinner, emptying bins, and feeding the cat, all in about 40 minutes.  Work is manic busy, so I am not able to eat while I work in the afternoon like I usually have been able to.  My manager is on the verge of a nervous breakdown I think as she just keeps crying, and is rushing about at 100mph, needing help from me constantly, and I am trying to stay very calm and on an even keel in the hope it might rub off!  No wonder she's about a size zero... but it's not a good look.  One of my colleagues hadn't seen her since before Xmas and commented that she looked so ill and unbelievably thin.  She can't eat because of her stress.  I'm the opposite because when stressed I eat.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

Thanks for the update sary. Glad to hear your OH feels better too. 😊

Your manager sounds in a dreadful state. Are you short staffed!

Thanks for the Aldi list bubbs. I think it's easier to see what's available than using the app.

My DH wasn't feeling very hungry tonight and the hash was larger than usual because of large tin of corned beef. Loads of LO, probably 2 lunches for me. 😁

Morning all!  Glad to hear some positive news sary, but sorry to hear that your manager is so stressed.  Been there and it's not a very nice place to be.  Hope things calm down a little bit soon or you get a new job and get out of there.

I love fat girl skinny's lists bubbs, thanks for reminding me to check the site again.  Don't really know what to suggest to break through the maintain, you're meals look right on plan from what you post.  Hope your hospital appointment isn't delayed too much.

Might have to add corned beef hash to the meal plan for next week maman, haven't had it in ages and I know we have a tin of corned beef in the cupboard.

Last working day of the week for me as I have loads of annual leave to use up before April, so having a slow start to the day and will do some exercise this evening instead.  Breakfast was porridge with apple, lunch I have no idea what I'm having and dinner is a stir fry.  Need to get better with planning lunches but I know we have lots of good options in the house and I don't need to have something ready the night before because I'm not leaving the house   Although I have had a craving for strawberries since last night that hasn't gone away so may have to track some down!

Hope everyone stays safe and has a good day.

Thanks for the update sary and that the news is positive which has obviously helped your DH to sleep better.  Stress can be awful for anyone but definitely not good if you can't eat, no wonder your manager looks so ill.  Sounds to me that the office is a pretty toxic place to be working.

It's good seeing other people's ideas for meals isn't it ruby as it reminds us of things we haven't for a while.  Also gives some ideas of meals to try that we haven't had before.  Will have to have a look at that fatgirlskinny website - think I've only looked at it a couple of times and that was quite some time ago.  I tend to go to SlimmingEats when I'm looking for things to try and even the SW one!

Has anyone tried the 95% pork sausages from Lidl?  My sister told me about them the other day but I've not seen them but am going to have a look next time I'm over there - will have to zap the barcode with my phone to see if they show up on the list.  Can't find them on the Food Search on the Planner so it might be they're high syn.

Another with an STS at bang on top end of target (which is where I was Friday morning!) - I'll take that and run after this week!

    Today's plan:

    B - cheese on toast - HEA2; HEB; P; F
    L - LO meatloaf; salad; chips - P; S; F; 1.5
    D - Vegetable biryani - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - meatloaf glaze 1.5

Will make a big batch of the spiced vegetables and then freeze it in batches for future meals.

Have a good day and keep safe everyone.

  • Another STS here! However, there were muffins involved this week and they were not the egg kind, so only myself to blame! Lent starts in 2 weeks, think I may start it early and see if that helps.

I'd be happy with STS too! 😁

I've put a light coloured top on today that made me feel really fat when I last wore it a few weeks back. Today I feel much thinner although would still like my stomach to be a bit flatter. 😉

I use this recipe for corned beef hash ruby, substituting milk/water for cream and adding extra veg like leeks, mushrooms, carrots and courgettes.
The English Kitchen: Baked Corned Beef Hash.
What I like about it  (other than it tastes wonderful😋) is that I can  prep it in advance then just reheat in the oven when I'm ready.

There's a Lidl list like the Aldi one denise, but I don't see any low syn sausages on it. maybe you'll have to put the values through the calculator  estimator! 😉

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, skinny syrup, banana (F) HEB porridge, HEA1 milk
L- LO hash (P,F,S), veg and pickles (S)
    D- SW Bolognese (S,P), pasta (F), HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns- 0

    Afternoon all,

I also have annual leave to use up so having a half day tomorrow. Hoping to get somewhere different for a walk, and in the daylight. I had my steak last night – I hummed and hahhed about frying it in frylight but decided to grill instead. I also grilled onions and mushrooms and served with oven chips and peas. Delicious

    B:fruit and fibre

L: very small BP with tuna salad

D : either pork steak or gammon steak with a poor mans ratatouille – ie whatever veg is left to use up!

    Hi
I wondered whether anybody was still doing the red & green days from way back when?
I've not had much luck with Extra Easy or any of the newer varieties they seem to encourage now :(

    Afternoon all

I had a STS on Tuesday, I was happy with that after my weekend drinks. No drinking this weekend so should be able to get a loss this week.

Breakfast today was an omelette and beans. Lunch was a ham and egg salad and tonight I've taken some chicken breast out of the freezer and I'm torn between a Stirfry or a mini roast. I have the ingredients in for both I'll see how I feel later.

I do tend to have days where I know exactly what I want for each meal and then I'll have other days where I change my mind about 3 times before I start cooking.

    :AWhatever it is - I didn't do it!:A
