I usually manage to get enough veg on a Friday to last the week. We eat loads as I have almost all my Speed that way. My fridge is still packed though and more in the cupboard. It's very SW friendly but don't want to waste any either.😊

I try to buy a week's veg too but do use a lot of frozen veg.  Is any of the veg you've got left any good for freezing or is it more salad stuff?  I'd certainly be prepping and freezing anything which is likely to spoil before you can use it or make soup and freeze that for another time.

I definitely won't waste it. No salad as such except tomatoes, peppers and spring onions that I can cook with. I'll probably manage to to use most of it by Friday. It's a juggling act between mse and SW! 🤣

Morning all!  Glad I'm not the only one up and about early bubbs!  I must admit, it was nice knowing I could log off at 3pm yesterday while everyone else went on to another meeting   I always have that dilemma too maman between making sure I have enough fruit and veg in the house and also knowing what I can realistically get through without wasting.  Glad we have a compost heap in the garden so if I don't get round to using something, then I know it's not really going to waste as such.

Really didn't want to get up this morning when the alarm went off but once I was out of bed it wasn't so bad.  Did 30 minutes of cardio and then some yoga stretches and feel better for it.  "Treated" myself to poached egg on toast with some melon for breakfast to reward myself for actually doing it   No idea what I'm having for lunch - have a few leftovers or there's always soup so will see what I'm in the mood for later.  Dinner tonight is going to be macaroni cheese with some leftover pulled pork mixed through - DH is very excited about this.

Hope everyone has a good day.

    Good morning all,

Last night I did something that I never did before SW, and that was have supper, just before Marcella started (love it) I ended up putting a wrap together with chicken and salady bits – I just felt really hungry – hopefully haven’t done too much damage as that is completely abnormal for me! better than a bar of chocolate or a bag of crisps

Today was my usual cereal, lunch is tuna salad and tonight is steak. Going to sin some oven chips, and have with mushrooms, tomatoes and onions grilled – should be yummy!

klew as long as the wrap was either your HEB or within syns then it won't make any difference at all.  I often have "supper" usually Ryvita and Primula Light as either my HEB or syns and Primula Light as my 2nd HEA!  I know I've been struggling a bit lately with syns but that is usually too much alcohol on one day and then having to pull it back over the week but it usually works!  maman  does the same, as in more syns at weekends and less during the week!

    Today's plan:

    B - kedgeree with home smoked haddock - P; S; F
    L - jacket potato, LO casserole - P; S; F
    D - American meatloaf with tomato glaze; mash; green beans and peas - P; S; F; 1.5

    HEA - milk
    HEB - none planned
    Syns - meatloaf 1.5

Have a good day and keep safe.

That's right denise and I do the same with too much alcohol too! 🤣 I was sorely tempted last night when the football was on but I used my amazing will power! 😇🤣

When I used to go out dancing in the evenings (remember that?🤔😢) I had to eat dinner earlier and I often felt hungry when I got home klew. I've made myself a baked potato at 11.p.m. before now just to make sure I had something SW friendly.

How did you do your pulled chicken yesterday denise? We really enjoy the thigh meat  in KFC so an extra recipe would be useful for another day.

I've decided to do corned beef hash again today as we enjoyed it so much last week. This week is definitely full fat corned beef. Next time I'm in Tesco's I'll stock up on the lean one but I have a large and a small tin of full fat to use up. I think I'll use the large one today as I won't be weighing so can afford to risk it. It's 6 syns each for the meat and 1 each for the horseradish. I had 8 syns left his morning and had a squirt of HP sauce so that's right on the wire this week! 😉😁

Just realised I forgot to post my menu!

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), scrambled eggs (P), HEB taost, HEA1 milk
    L- ham (P), 1 potato (F), LO veg and pickles (S)
D- corned beef hash (P,S,F) with cabbages, cauli and broccoli (S)
    Syns- corned beef 6, horseradish 1, HP sauce 1 = 8!!

maman The pulled chicken wasn't bad.  I will make it again but won't cook it as long as the recipe I used said!  They were a nice flavour although a bit dry but a bit overcooked and virtually all the BBQ sauce was stuck to the tin!  There certainly wasn't any chance of really pulling them!  When I do it again I think I'll just cover them in the BBQ sauce and cook at about 150 for about an hour (the recipe said 2 hours at 200 or 3 hours at 150 so I did them for 2.5 at 180 but definitely too long) and then cook some of the sauce in a pan on the hob to pour over.

I made buttered corn on the cob to go with it by just microwaving the corn and then melting a tsp of butter in there which I tipped over the corn before putting on the plate and then added plenty of black pepper - was much nicer than just plain corn with pepper and only a couple of syns.

Like you I fancied a drink last night but resisted as knew I didn't have any spare syns so just had a diet tonic with some ice and a slice of lemon!  How's that for will power, LOL?

Of course that means only a couple left for today which will be used up with the meatloaf and tomato glaze!
