Morning all.  Great loss klew.  I think mixing things up can help when you've been eating a lot of the same stuff.  Another thing which has been said in groups previously is that having a "spicy" week or a "fishy" week can help.  Think I might have to give one of those a try as looking like I'm heading for another gain this week, not helped by having a very synful weekend!  I've only got 15.5 syns left for today until Wednesday - so about 5 syns a day!

Today's plan (could be a Green Day):

B - scrambled eggs and spinach on toast with beans - P; S; F; HEB
    L - French onion soup - S; F
    D - mixed bean goulash & rice - P; S; F
    S - if needed:  Ryvita & Primula Light - HEA2/HEB2

    HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - Primula Light (if needed)
    HEB1 - bread
    HEB2 - Ryvita

Have a good day everyone and keep safe.

Strange you should say that Denise, I have the SW spicy beef in the slow cooker at the moment, not had it before, but thought I would try something I have not had before. Had an SP day yesterday, planning on another one today, although I have still not decided what to have with the beef, although as I have class until 7:30, it will need to be something I can cook quickly, so probably will be speed.
    Have a good week everyone.

Morning all!  Good luck on the job applications sary - I was in a really toxic work environment for 5 years and when I eventually decided to leave, I felt so much better!  I've been in my new job for a year and even though there have been stressful moments, it's nothing compared to where I was.  Fingers crossed you can get something new soon!

Well done to all the losers this week.  I managed a maintain which is a miracle as I had a few drinks on Saturday night while catching up with book club and then I ended up raiding the snack cupboard in a slightly tipsy state   Oh well, at least it wasn't a gain!  Breakfast today was porridge with grated apple and a few frozen blueberries, lunch is going to be veggie soup from the freezer and then dinner is a jacket potato with probably beans and cheese and a salad.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Well done on your loss klew. That's a really good loss too! 😊

STS has to be  better than a gain ruby. It's so difficult at the moment to get any change of routine that I don't blame you enjoying😉 your book club.

I think you already get a lot of variety into your menus denise whereas mine can be very samey.  I do try hard to get in as much variety (and quantity) of Speed as I can each week. I buy almost every Speed vegetable that we'll eat! 🤣

Do you find that having S/P days helps gtq?🤔 I don't do many  full days but I do keep carbs down by having a fair few S/P lunches.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk, raspberries (S)
L- cold meat (P), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- baked haddock (P), mash (F), broccoli, mushrooms, tomatoes, mange tout, asparagus (F)
    Syns- 0

Frozen fish again today. Won't be buying the unsmoked haddock we had last week again, let's see if the smoked version is any better.

maman When I said about trying different meals I was thinking in terms of more spicy meals as don't really have that many and certainly not a full week!  Not sure whether I could cope with a full week of spicy food though but maybe if I mix it up a bit with some fishy meals too it wouldn't be too bad!

Did you find the frozen fish a bit watery as that's what I find with it?  That's why I've been buying fresh from the fish counters in either Tesco or Morries because at least you can see if it looks a nice piece of fish, unlike frozen fillets and then freezing myself.

I try not to buy too much veg and fruit which isn't in season which is why we tend to buy things like carrots, cabbage & cauliflower fresh and everything else frozen!

ruby a STS is a good result in the current situation I think, although I know how frustrating it can be!  I'm sure you didn't have as many syns as me at the weekend!  Mine was mainly alcohol but also some snacks (synful) things too!  I'm sure this week will be better for you.

I find they don't usually work for me, but it does me no harm to skip the carbs, however, I crave them when I can't have them, so would generally have a day  on, day off if doing it. Not had SP days for a few weeks, so hopefully, if nothing else, the bloated feel will go!  Think I am going to have carrot mash with the beef :)

    Evening all

I've been so busy this week not had time to post on here but I've nipped on to read everyones posts when I've had a chance.

I've been pretty much on plan this week except Saturday night I had a virtual 'night out' with my friends as they live in Manchester and we haven't seen each other for nearly a year as even when we weren't in lockdown we were in different tiers. We have a meet up on zoom around once a month and there was a lot of alcohol involved this time. I enjoyed the night so it was worth the syns. Just going to see what the damage is tomorrow when I get weighed.

Food wise today I had an omelette for breakfast as I've run out of weetabix and didn't want to go to the shop when that was all I needed, I had some roast beef left over from last nights tea so I had that with veg for lunch and tonight is no surprise as I'm in work so its cous cous, veg and chicken :D
    :AWhatever it is - I didn't do it!:A

    Evening,
Well done on the loss Klew and STS Ruby

    Plan today:
B - porridge HEB with water, milk from HEA, skinny syrup
L - SW KFC chicken thighs sliced with mixed crunchy salad, dressing (2)
    D - LF sausages (6), mash, beans, ketchup (1) gravy (2)

We had sausages this evening to cheer OH up (we usually have them on Banger Tuesday ;) )  There was an awful accident at his workplace, which he was the only witness to, and the guy involved is reported by police to have life changing injuries :(  OH rang me at lunchtime and we chatted about it, and he was feeling quite unwell, due to the adrenaline and shock.  I suggested he speak with fellow colleagues to talk it through, and then we have talked about it again tonight.  Just shows how you never know what's going to happen, and the chap involved was just doing his day to day job, now he has multiple injuries.
