Morning all.  So sorry to hear about your husbands colleague sary, might be an idea to see if the company has access to any counselling services too which can help him process what happened?  Hope you're both ok.

Thanks for the support ladies, I know a STS is good and it definitely could have been a lot worse.  Had a good day yesterday and feeling positive this morning; even forced myself out of bed at 4:45 this morning to go downstairs and do some exercise.  Getting up that early also means that I will finish work at 3pm today so I get more time to myself

Breakfast this morning was porridge with apple and blueberries, lunch is going to be veggie soup and dinner is courgette, onion and mushrooms in black bean sauce with noodles.

Hope everyone is doing ok and have a good day!

Morning all.  Need to go to Tesco and do a decent shop as only bought fruit and veg on Sunday.

I agree with ruby sary that it might be an idea for your DH to see if there is someone he can talk to at work about the accident - it sounds very upsetting.

Well done ruby on getting up early to do some exercises before work.  I always used to start early when I was working - my normal hours were 8-4 but I had 1.5 hours travel each way so it was still a very long day!  On the one day a week I worked from home I worked 6-1 so had the whole afternoon to myself, which was usually when I did my shopping as it was quieter than doing it at the weekend.

Ended yesterday on 10 syns so only 5.5 syns left for today and tomorrow so definitely needs to be low syn days!

    Today's plan:

    B - baked oats with mixed fruit - HEB; P; S; F
    L - rice & veg stuffed pepper; salad - S; F
    D - pulled chicken; chips; corn on the cob; coleslaw - P; S; F; 1

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - porridge oats
    Syns - LTL mayo 1

Hava a good day and keep safe.

Wow! That's the middle of the night for me ruby. I never go to bed until about 1.00 a.m.so I couldn't' t cope with that. It's good to do the flexi time working though. 😊

That's really awful for your DH sary. I do hope his workplace is supportive.

I need to tot up my syns denise but I suspect I have about 9 or 10 left. I don't have any plans to use hem though so probably fine until Thursday. I meant to ask, do you eat seasonal veg because of food miles? 🤔

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), fried eggs (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S), HEB toast, HEA milk
    L- beef stew (P,F.S)
D- savoury mince (P,S), new potatoes (F), cauli, broccoli, cabbages, carrots (S)
    Syns- 0

Not really maman I just think they taste better!  I was bought up on fresh seasonal fruit and veg as my dad had a huge allotment so we were virtually vegetarian with just a roast on Sunday (usually shoulder of lamb 'cos it was cheap!), LO in shepherds pie on Monday and then something with mince or sausages on Wednesday.  All the other days tended to be veg soups and casseroles!

So sorry about your dh witnessing an accident Sary - it must have been very distressing for him. Hope he gets some support from his workplace. I think sausages were definitely in order.
I had a good day yesterday but feel a bit meh today. I’ve hit the snacks but still within syns. I think I need to wrap up and go out for a walk to get some body magic in and to act as a distraction.
Breakfast - heb barmcake with bacon, eggs and low sugar ketchup 1 syn.
    dinner - hm veg soup
tea - something sw from the freezer
snacks - piece of cake 10 syns
    January spends - £587.58

    Afternoon,
thanks for your kind words. OH and I discussed last night the importance of talking about what he had seen, and understanding that he needed to process what had happened etc.  He works in a predominantly female workplace so I’m sure they are all fussing over him and making sure he is ok.  I think he was surprised to have had such a physical response himself to what he had seen, but that in itself made him aware he had suffered a shock.  I’m not sure his workplace has any kind of counselling service, but I will mention it to him.

    Plan today:
B - porridge HEB, water & milk from HEA, skinny syrup
L - chicken thighs, sf jelly (0.5), mango & elmlea (not sure of syns 3 p/tbsp?)
    snack - banana & apple
D - chicken stir fry - will allow (3) if I need it for a sauce
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

Didn't want to read and run sary but, in my experience, many workplaces buy into a wellbeing service for staff as and when needed usually telephone counselling at least. Also GPs can put you in touch although they may not be available at present. I'm sure you'll keep an eye on how he's coping, just in case he needs more help. 😊

I love the way you fold the beans into the omelette bubbs. They say we eat with our eyes and your presentation is so professional, especially the salads. 😋
I seem to have loads of veg left this week. I was planning to have chilli tomorrow but I think I need to use them. Maybe a hash? Last week's corned beef was lush. 😋🤔
