I can't buy loads at a time maman as my storage space for stock cubes/stockpots isn't very big so can only have a limited amount - maybe I ought to set aside another space in my spare wardrobe where I store other extras🤔.

I hadn't realised that the Slimwell meals had come out so low in syns since they went on the app. I'm going to try the BBQ chicken some time and we're having the chicken Tikka tomorrow.

I buy several boxes of the wine pots at a time when I'm getting tagliatelle and instant potato as I rarely go to Tesco.
That's what i bought bbq chicken

I use a cupboard in the guest room as a store denise. I only keep one spare of basics that I can buy regularly. Most of what's in there are either from offers (like the 10 packs of Frylight 🤣) or favourites from shops I don't go to often like Tesco or Lidl's cornichons or baked beans from Waitrose.

I've got curry on the menu for this evening but I really don't feel in the mood for it. I'm thinking I might make sausage casserole instead or perhaps see if any new recipes take my fancy. This afternoon I'm going to make more beef stew for lunches for me and also put a veggie chilli in the SC for HM ready meals as I've only got one portion left in the freezer.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, banana, skinny syrup (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk, raspberries (S)
    L- veggie omelette (P,S), pickles (S)
D- Aldi curry with HM pilau ( unless I change my mind🤔)
Syns- curry 1, weekend wine 😁

Afternoon all.  I keep some extra stuff in a wardrobe in a spare room wardrobe - things like washing up liquid, washing liquid, dishwasher tablets.  Foodwise I buy long life milk a box at a time and that's in there too; plus when I buy beans and tomatoes I tend to buy a dozen tins at a time and keep spares in there.

Today's a bit different to usual as we had a Brunch, just had a snack and then we'll have dinner a bit later than usual because we got up late this morning!

    B - fry up with sausages - P; S; F; 2
    S - 2 Ryvita; Primula Light - part HEA2/part HEB
    D - carbonara - P; S; F (might have a bit of parmesan on it)
If I'm peckish later then I can have another couple of Ryvita and Primula Light again.

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - Primula Light/Parmasan?
    HEB - Ryvita
    Syns - sausages 2

    Afternoon all,
ruby I'm glad the work situation has been sorted out.  Sounds like it was a complete palaver, just to go back to how things were again!

My work just goes from bad to worse.  I was unwell with nausea/tummy pains (again!) on Weds night/Thurs AM, so contacted my manager at 7am to say I'd try to get another hour or so's sleep as the pain had finally gone, and then I'd be in the office.  She told me to stay off all day, but I felt guilty not going in.  When I arrived just before 11am, my boss (manager's senior) had emailed me to chastise me for not emailing him to say I 'needed to be out' of the office.  He is self-isolating at home for the 3rd time, because he won't stop mixing with friends (he's almost 60) and this has never, in my years of working there been a thing.  Usually you text your closest colleague, or ring the main office no. at 9am.  Now I'm going to blow my own trumpet here, but it's safe to say I am one of the hardest working members of staff, and of all the admin staff, the most capable.  I take on responsibility no one else will.  Those of you who were here last March know I had to take time off sick because of this boss.  Well, it's backfired on him because I applied for another job yesterday, and if I leave he will have no experienced admin staff left in the building with 4 managers to cover for, 3 of whom cannot do their own admin.  It's a bit step to leave, but I know now I cannot stay, so now I've applied for one job, I will apply for others too.
Oh, and I also worked back the 2 hrs I had off work by working through my lunch breaks Thurs/Fri.

Anyway, bit of a moany War & Peace, but that's been my week.  Suffice to say with stomach issues, and high levels of stress, it's been hit and miss plan wise. Yesterday I ended up being the only admin person in the building, and managed to eat my breakfast at 1.30pm and lunch/snacks stayed in my bag.  We had l/o pasta for dinner with a treat of a bit of garlic bread.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Good for you sary. I do hope you get another job very soon. It'll serve your employer right as they've treated you badly. I hope you enjoyed every crumb of the garlic bread. You deserved it. 😉

I decided to have sausage casserole for dinner. It'll mean an extra couple of syns as they're BGTY sausages and a tiny bit of cornflour to thicken. Stew and chilli are bubbling away too. Very organised today. 😁

I agree.  Hope you get the job sary.  Your company sounds an absolutely nightmare to work for.

Enjoy your sausage casserole maman.  That's something we haven't had for ages; really must make one again soon.  Do you put masses of veg in it and then have it without the sausages the next day?  That's what I usually do, I also add beans of some sort, usually cannellini but sometimes chickpeas.

It's very much a 'cowboy' style sausage casserole that my girls loved when they were at home. The actual recipe came from their cookery classes. It's so old it has lard for frying the sausages! 🤣 It's basically sausages, bacon, onion, mushrooms and baked beans with some beef stock and tomato puree but I've added carrots and leeks too. If there's any left (depending on how greedy we feel) I have the leftovers on a JP., 😊

Funnily enough I used to do something like that when my girls were small - sausages, onions, baked beans.  Quite often I used to make it into a pie - we always called it cowboy pie!  It was a great meal for the night before payday as I always had everything as used to keep sausages in the little ice box in the fridge, along with a little bag of peas.  Life is so much easier with freezers now!

The sausage casseroles sound lovely. I haven’t made one of those for a long time. I tend to use tomatoes, onions, peppers  and paprika.
I put 1lb on today....I’m not surprised as yesterday was ds birthday. I made a Jamie Oliver cake and we had a Chinese yesterday. Must stop celebrating now as that’s 1 1/2lb on in the last 2 weeks. A plus though I have completed my Bronze body magic. I thought I’d start again from scratch as I wasn’t doing any exercise at all as I recovered from surgery in September.
    Today
brunch - HEB toast with HEA cheesy baked beans with a tomato chopped in.
Tea - pasta, cauliflower, leek, mushroom and chicken bake 2 syns for Philadelphia cheese
there will be a small piece of leftover cake later - not sure how many syns but it’ll take me to my limit for today- hopefully not over 😏
    January spends - £587.58
